bit of a brick, but does the job
Bought this a couple of weeks ago to replace an hdmi converter which had stopped working. This one worked, straight out of the box. Loses a star for two things: the fiddly, sticky covering it arrives in and the amount of desk space it eats up. Surely Belkin can do better on those. Don't know how to score on durability or connectivity, so 3 for them.

Compact USB C HDMI adapter
This belkin unit is USB C it works with computers with USB C ports. The unit has two ports, HDMI to use with monitors and TV and the second port is USB C power only. The USB C does not support send and receive data, it will only power or charge your laptop. It would have been nice to have the option to connect different devices through the dongle like keyboards etc. I found the dongle glitchy at times the screen flickers for some reason and even goes blank that’ why I gave it 3 stars. Apart from that it does the job but quality of components could be better.

Great for second screens
excellent adaptor allowing me to connect second screen to my laptop via the C-port. great Click and Collect service from Argos meant i got it fast and with minmal effort. Thanks!

And it has not been tested to work with steam decks. Thus, we cannot guarantee that it will work with steam decks without issues.
This product does not work with my Samsung chromebook. After connecting monitor HDMI cable to the device and device USB C cable to chromebook, display appears the in the monitor. But the moment chromebook usb c charger cable is plugged into the device monitor display stopped and chromebook display start flickering.
