The Hoover HF1 MAX Pet is built for homes that need a bit more cleaning power, especially when there's pet hair involved. The motor is 33% stronger than older models, and it runs for up to 30 minutes in standard mode or up to 50 minutes in eco mode if you're doing lighter work. There's also a turbo boost option that gives you around 15 minutes of maximum suction when you need to tackle stubborn dirt or ground-in mess on carpets and rugs.
The motorised floorhead switches easily between carpets and hard floors, with built-in LED lights revealing dust under furniture and in corners. ANTITWIST technology prevents hair wrapping around the brush, and a pet tool cleans upholstery and stairs. The 0.7l dustbin avoids frequent emptying. It converts to a handheld for sofas, cars or tight spots, including a crevice tool, dusting brush, turbo brush, and combination floor nozzle. The washable filter maintains suction when rinsed. Weighing 2.35kg, it charges in 3.5 hours, runs at 86 decibels, and the wall mount keeps it charged and stored.

Ok - but battery not large enough
I bought this a week ago. Pros: Light weight, good build quality, quiet. Cons: nowhere to store the optional nozzles. Battery lasted 20 minutes between charges. Just enough to do a small flat. Charging lead not quite long enough for me, but might be fine for other people. I would prefer if it was a bit heavier with a larger battery.

Works intermittently
Very happy , light, good suction , versatile. Unfortunately only starts when it feels like it and not when I want it to. Phoned Hoover who say I should approach Argos for replacement.

Not worth the money
I bought this thinking it would be a fab hoover, full of optimism and hope and set it up, charged for 6hrs and was ready to take it for a test run. How disappointing! It was hot and miss with whether it wanted to turn on, then when it did I tried the turbo button, that didn’t work, within 5minutes the red battery light came on, it was dead. I plugged it in to charge again, but the battery wouldn’t charge. I returned it and got another new one, this time I charged it for 8hrs, however it would only charge if I removed the battery from the hoover. When it was fully charged I put the battery back in the hoover, it switched on, turbo button still didn’t work and the red battery light came on again. This time though, the hoover wouldn’t switch off. I had to removed the battery to get the hoover to switch off. In the end I gave up, returned it again, and bought a vax cordless instead!!
