Hello there. The Silentnight Travis Single 2 Drawer Divan Bed has two drawers on the left hand side. This can be determined by sitting on the bottom bed and facing out.

Having checked with the supplier for you I can let you know the fabric isn't velour it's a plain woven damask covering.

The headboard is 6cm deep. You dont need to attach the headboard for the base to be fixed together properly
Yes. Bed can be set up so the drawers are on either side as preferred
The total height includes the headboard. Excluding the headboard the height of the mattress and divan only is 60cm (38cm for base + 22cm for mattress)
The headboard is included but the bed is not supplied with the headboard. Some assembly is required
