The Argos Home Ottawa Gas Lift Bar Stool gives you a practical seat for breakfast bars and kitchen counters. There's a smooth gas lift mechanism that lets you adjust the height from 64cm to 100cm, so it works with different counter heights and suits the whole family. Adults slide off
Easy to assemble. Good rise. Seat ok for kids. There's a slight downward curve at the front of the seat so all the adults who sat on it felt they were sliding of. In the end we returned the ones we bought.

We bought two and they are fine. OK for short spells at the breakfast bar. Suit the decor (main priority) and they go up/down okay. But seat size is more for a size 8 person ... rather than an 18.

Hi. We have had our stools for quite a while but don't really use them much. The actual seat part does not have any scratches but the silver base has scratched in a few places..probably from our dogs paws. Hope this helps.

I have checked on this and I can confirm the stool is not for outdoor use, it is advised for indoor use only and would not be waterproof.
