The Argos Home Ashwell extendable dining table and six chairs give you a proper spot for family meals and occasions when extra guests need seating. It's made from North American oak with a veneer top that resists warping, sitting on solid oak legs and frame for reliable support. The table fits six comfortably for everyday dining, then extends when you need more room. A butterfly extension folds away under the centre, pull the ends apart, flip it up, and you've got the extra length sorted. The six solid oak chairs feature padded seats and a supportive slat-back design.
The oak veneer surface handles daily spills and marks, a quick wipe brings it back to clean. Wall space stays clear because the extension stores neatly out of sight until you need it. The solid oak frame provides steady support that holds up to regular family use. Self-assembly requires two people and clear instructions are included. We were looking for a practical family dinning set and this set ticked all the boxes. Good quality and easy to assemble. Good value for money. Shame about Argos delivery service, who dumped and ran. I have fed this back to Argos but nobody has bothered to get back to me.

Comfortable chairs
I've had this dining table and chairs for about a month now and it is so much more comfortable than my last one. The rectangle table fits better with our kitchen as well and it pulls out to just the right size for 6 of us and 8 with the grandparents for Sunday lunch (yep guess who gets one of the uncomfortable chairs when that happens!!)

Dining table and chairs
Fantastic table and chairs, looks more expensive than it actually is. Very sturdy and solid table. I would say 1 to 2 people to assemble with an electric screwdriver. Some of the chair leg postion were out of sync and the screws only screwed so far. I damaged one of mine, but fixed in the end. Easy to wipe down, with damp cloth, I hoover the top of table as has a small groove around the inner edge. Looks very modern and stylish. Delivery lads carried the items into the house as table is very heavy.
