Had this table a few weeks brilliant ! Solid looks great decent size that extends to a comfortable 6 place setting, maybe a little high but that depends on the type of chairs to have. Lots of screws to make it up but straight forward enough. Overall great

Took the two of us about 5 hours to put this up. So many bits, especially screws.. Parts not all well labelled. Still managed it and was quite fun really. Table sturdy, good size and was a good price. Very pleased .

Not a great product
Rating this two stars as it thankfully serves its purpose but not very well… the grain in the wood doesn’t match up when it’s in its standard position and in the extended position. The table is annoying to extend - mainly because it’s very stiff! I followed the instructions completely and I am very competent building furniture but this one was very tricky… if you value your time and don’t want some kind of repetitive strain injury… DO NOT BUY. It felt like I had to screw 100,000 screws. Frustrating, fiddly and pain in the backside. I believe the design would’ve been better if the grains of wood matched up a bit better. I don’t believe the quality is that great and the assembly was horrid. Also, if you need to disassemble the item (if you’re moving house) good luck getting it back together!!! I’ve never had a table that is held together purely with screws. Usually there are nuts that hold the legs in place! Although the table is still in one piece, I would not buy it again.

Fab extending table
I bought this table before Xmas as I wanted a table to be able to extend for Xmas day as more family were coming. It worked out really well and I fitted 6 for dinner and there was plenty of room for everyone and went back smaller after. Easy to put together but use a cordless screwdriver if available as there are a lot of screws. Really happy with the table

The supplier has confirmed the length of the Argos Home Miami Extending 4 - 6 Seater Table - Oak Effect when extended is 160cm. Two chairs of 55cm each will fit when the table is extended.

The supplier has advised the following for the Miami Extending 4 - 6 Seater Table - Oak Effect:
"The top panel of Miami Table is made of laminated chipboard so water should not get into the core of the board." So no, it should not leave ring marks or water marks.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Miami Extending 4 - 6 Seater Table - Oak Effect: Table top material is scratch and moisture resistant. Heat resistance is limited this is why for very hot dishes it is recommended to use coasters.

So if like me and you attached the clasps incorrectly, this is the way it should be. 2 clasps on one of the main table tops and 2 hook parts on the other table top. So the top can be secured when not extended. On the insert, 2 clasps on one of the long sides and 2 hook parts on the other long side. Youll be able to secure the table top when extended, just make sure and match the hooks and clasps up correctly. Hope this helps someone!

The length of the table when not extended is 120cm, when extended its 160cm. The legs measure 12cm in width, so 120cm - 24cm (the 2 legs) is 96cm so the bench should fit.
