The Strata 322L Garden Storage Box does not come with a lock but a small padlock could easily be fitted to the lid if required as there is an indentation and two holes made for the job.

Since these types of garden storage boxes come in sections that you clip together, they are not fully sealed like typerware! There are going to be tiny gaps, so there is always the chance for little insects to get in, as well as the odd bit of rain or moisture depending on if you keep them outside or in a garage or shed. The reality is, storing anything outside, or in a garage or shed, you are likely to find spiders and insects. Remember spider are GOOD insects and eat the bad 1s like flies.

As the video shows a man sitting on it, together with a weight indicator of 400 plus kilos, I am assuming you can sit on it. Otherwise the video is misleading.

These are advertised as WEATHERPROOF NOT WATERPROOF! This means they are RESISTANT to the elements and give protection in light showers, but DO NOT guarantee to keep out all water in heavy rain or to protect against damp. These types of garden storage boxes come in sections that you clip together, they are not fully sealed! There are going to be tiny gaps, so there is always the chance of some rain or moisture in heavy rain! So best to store cushions indoors so they do not get damp or mouldy.

Plastic, but don't know what specific type. Fairly flimsy and bendable. Slots together very easily. Too soon to comment on durability and water-tight qualities. It does the job on my balcony and have put heavy duty tape over the join in the base. Rather 0ver-priced.
