About this product
The Argos Home Lido Extending Dining Table and 6 Black Chairs provides a proper dining space for family meals, gatherings and dinner parties. The toughened glass top on a painted metal frame extends from 120cm to 150cm when extra room is needed. The extension is hidden underneath the centre; pull each end apart and the extra section pops up and locks into place. Six matching chairs feature sturdy metal frames, padded seats, and long backrests covered in smooth leather-effect upholstery. The black finish keeps things neutral and fits most kitchen or dining room schemes.
The glass top wipes clean after meals, sorting spills and crumbs without fuss. Each chair supports up to 130kg and the seat height works with standard table arrangements, so everyone sits comfortably. The long backrests give you support through longer meals or catch-ups over coffee. The metal frames keep everything stable and spread weight evenly across the floor. Self-assembly required with two people recommended, all fixings included. Manufacturer's one year guarantee covers the set for peace of mind.

Easy to fit to gether nice looking set. Shame the table black frosting was scratched and the extendable part of the table top was not flush when in use. Chairs ok but seat not very comfortable. I would have preferred bigger cushions and arm rest.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Lido Glass Extending Dining Table & 6 Grey Chairs: ''Hot plates are not recommended and it is better to place a table mat underneath. Please ensure all the bolts are fully tightened before use and the tables are very sturdy.''

The Argos Home Lido Glass Extending Table & 6 Black Chairs includes glass that is 7mm thick.
It is made from toughened glass which means safety glass that has been processed with controlled thermal / chemical treatments through intense heating and rapid cooling.
The most important factor for customer safety is that if broken, toughened glass breaks down into small, relatively harmless, granular pieces rather than large nasty sharp shards of glass. The greater the surface stress, the smaller the glass particles will be when broken.
