Great little machine!
I bought this a week ago to clean upholstery and carpets following my dog being ill. It is a great machine. It's small and manageable. We picked the one with the motorised head and this was really good at lifting the pile of the carpet and getting all of the nasty bits out. We used it on two velvet armchairs and it really has brought out the pile and there was a lot of dirt that was sucked out, which though really gross, meant that the machine worked well. We've also used it in the car and it performed well, the seats now look as though they were professionally cleaned. Very happy with this purchase, it is sturdy and well made, easy to use and the solution seems to work really well, we think we will get a lot of use of this machine for years to come.

So carpet goes to the Rug Doctor...
We bought this to tackle some cat urine—it did the job brilliantly. Since then, I’ve used it to clean old spill stains on furniture and a liquid spill in the kitchen. It’s a loud beast, so not ideal for nighttime use, but it gets the job done. Being handheld means you’ll need to get down on your hands and knees to use it, which might be a consideration for anyone with back issues. Thankfully, it doesn’t leave the carpet overly damp afterward. The RugDoctor can easily clean just over a meter squared on a single tank. I had a couple of minor quibbles with the design of the water hoppers. The clean water hopper needs to be turned upside down to fill, which is awkward—especially since the curved bottom prevents you from resting it on a flat surface while filling. If your tap nozzle is close to the sink edge, you’ll also need to turn the measurement markings away from you while filling, which isn’t ideal. As for the dirty water hopper, there’s no design flaw, but I’d advise keeping it upright at all times. The opening is at the rear on the top, and if it’s full and tipped at an angle, dirty water can spill out easily. Otherwise its a great choice to get small areas of carpet and upholstery clean.

Forget Vax, this is so much better!
I've had a few vacs machines in the past, the most recent one packed up so decided to go with rug doctor. Should of gone for one a lot sooner! Works a lot better and it's more powerful than any of the vacs machines I've had in the past and the motorised brush makes it work into any dirt even better. Only used it around the house so far but it's worked perfectly, waiting til I need to use it in the car again knowing it will bring the interior up better than the old machines

Great little spot cleaner
I bought this around a month ago for cleaning the carpet after one of my kids was sick! It’s worked really well! Easy to set up and use! Comes with a little bottle of solution to get you started aswell! Really happy! Only cons - It is very loud and it is heavy!

Excellent little machine
Happy with the machine, it was really useful for cleaning up a mini flood when we had a burst pipe. We just had to remember to keep emptying the dirty water container.

Rug doctor spot carpet cleaner
I bought this recently to clean our dining room chairs, it did a great job at cleaning, I did make a mess on our dining room wooden floor when I was spraying so I did it in the garden next time, maybe I didn't use it correctly but it was my first time, some of the old stains didn't come out but overall I am very pleased with my purchase.

Great small cleaner
Used for small carpet and the car. Worked a treat. Really good suction power. Filler and dirty water containers are a little awkward to remove and fill/empty but good size for the tasks. Hose is fine for carpet but could be longer for the car.

Excellent domestic spot cleaner
I had cleaned my sofa with this thing and did a great job. Definitely worth the money. It is leaking water through the exhaust but it is a small sacrifice for the cheap price
