About this product
The Brooklyn High Sleeper Bed creates a smart, space-efficient solution for bedrooms where you need sleeping, study and storage all in one. It's made from solid pine with chunky top rails that give it strength and stability. The high sides keep everyone safe while sleeping, and the classic design works well as your child grows. There's a fixed ladder for easy access that fits at either end, so you can position it to suit your room layout. Underneath you've got a built-in workstation with shelves and a desk, plus a bit more storage space below for books and school things.
The sprung wooden slats support the mattress and keep it comfortable, while the sturdy frame handles daily use without wobbling. Wall-mounting brackets are included and must be used, that's really important for safety with raised beds. The ladder positioning gives you flexibility in tight spaces or awkward room layouts. Maximum mattress depth is 16cm to keep the safety rails effective. It's suitable from 6 years upwards and tested for adult use too. Self-assembly required with two people recommended, all fixings included.

This is a good solid bed and my 10 year old loves it. It was quite a job to assemble, but solid once done. Creaks quite a bit when climbing the ladder/moving, but not in a way that stops my son sleeping well!

Great bed
I bought two of these for my 7 year old twins and they are fantastic. Gave loads of extra space to their rooms and they love the desks underneath. They are nice and sturdy and the finish is good. No issues with creaking and took one person 3-4 hours per bed. Highly recommend these as much better value for money than from other sellers (we got both for the same price as one from another website).

Not for teenagers!
Bought this for my teenage grandson when he stays. He’s not a big lad but when he gets in the bed it creaks and groans like an old galleon. I’ve retightened all the fixings but it still groans and creaks. The desk part is great for his homework though

Great quality loft bed
Really impressed with how sturdy this loft bed is given it is quite high. Four corner posts are single pieces of solid wood. Such a great design for small spaces.

Great item but instructions could be better.
Purchased this bunk bed because the room it was going into was lacking in space. The problem is that the instructions state to build on its side then stand it up later in the process. This defeats the object of purchasing this because of the lack of space and the manufacturer thinking you have the space to build on its side. It’s rather awkward to build on your own but not impossible as I found out. So to sum it up, would have given 4.5 out of 5 but not the option. A great product but some work needs doing with the assembly instructions.

Good bed for my son
Got this 6 months ago. And so far has endured my kids age 8 and 9 jumping around. I assembled mostly myself but needed neighbor to assist with some bits.

Nice bed
Bought about a month ago and built it myself, obviouslyif you have someone to help, it would be better. The assembly was difficult as nothing was labelled to know what piece was what and all the screws etc were all mixed up in 1 bag. It would be better and easier to lable and separate all parts. There are no holes for the bits that needed to be screwed (slats, attaching ladder and the desk to the bed frame) which again made it difficult and time consuming.

Good but squeaky and desk sagging
My children are delighted and they look nice, although they could be better quality for the price, and they squeak. The desk needs additional support because it's sagging from the start, and it looks like the shelves will need more support in time. If I knew I would have only bought the beds and made the desk myself. The quality of the screws is also not amazing and it's hard to find a bit that fits properly, so assembly is unnecessarily complicated (although one person is enough so not too hard)

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Habitat Brooklyn High Sleeper Bed, Desk & Shelf: If you got 10-15cm extra space in length and width than the buildup dimensions L200.4, W106, H184.7cm for the bed, it´s possible to assemble the bed.
The bed ends are assembled first, as shown on the instructions.
But the bed should then be assembled standing up, and not on the backside as shown on the instructions. You need to be 2 people to do that.
