Not as fast as Max, but fast enough..
4k Plus. Bought about 2 wks ago (end of August '26) as it was on 'offer' and 4k Max was out of stock. Not as 'snappy' as Max, but still plenty quick enough to connect and jump around apps. The Plus AND the Max have since shot up in price, but I assume they are far and away the 2 most popular streaming sticks Amazon sell at the moment. Drops 1 star for fractionally slower processor. All of Amazon's 'New' range of sticks are limited to downloading apps from their own app store, apart from the Plus and the Max. I would definitely recommend buying either of these models over their other models, for this reason. Limiting users to apps only from their app store is odd to say the least, but if you buy any of their newer units, that's what you will be faced with. Premium quality feel to the unit, and fairly simple and quick to set up and use. Good resolution (1080p) and refresh rate, but as with ALL streaming devices, fast (fibre speed if poss..??.) Wi-Fi is very important for best results. To be fair to Amazon, I have run a Max before, in a holiday cottage that had slow Broad Band, and it performed well. Regular Software Updated have been promised from Amazon right up until 2031, so whilst this unit is not completely 'future proof' it should run everything smoothly for another 5 years or so. Overall, a worth while purchase, but back up to full price now. Argos staff great and click & collect purchase was slick and easy. 👍👍👍👍👍

Brilliant little gadget
My TV is 11 years old… I was faced with not being able to use iplayer, (being discontinued on my TV at the end of October) or fork out for a new TV. This little gadget has given my TV a new lease of life. It’s brilliant. I can do so much more than just access iplayer too! I can access other apps previously could only use on my desktop, Ive been able to add Apps of my choice. It was so easy to install … if I (at 76) can do it - anyone can. For not a great amount of money it has saved me a lot! Heaps better than the Humax box I was previously using. I’m so pleased I bought it, and can thoroughly recommend it.
