Not Impressed At All
The installation by the electrician was straightforward enough but that's where it ends. Bluetooth connectivity with the MV Installer App is very buggy and unreliable requiring restarting of my phone and / or the Charger every time I want to use it. Configuration settings in the Charger change by themselves so I have to regularly check them. I have managed to charge my car but managed what a hassle.

Hi SP, thank you for your enquiry.
As long as your Outlander PHEV has a Type 2 charging socket (which the internet seems to suggest that it doesn't) then it would be compatible with this charger.
If you are unsure about the socket type then you would need to consult the manual or dealership for confirmation of this.
If your Outlander PHEV does indeed have a Type 1 charging socket then you would be better off with a socketed charger so you can get an applicable Type 2 to Type 1 lead (as tethered chargers tend to only have Type 2 plugs on them).
Hope this helps and thank you for your purchase.
Hi Hussain, thank you for your enquiry.
As long as your Hyundai Kona has a Type 2 charging socket (which the internet seems to suggest that it does) then it should be compatible with this charger.
If you are unsure about the socket type then you would need to consult the manual or dealership for confirmation of this.
Hope this helps and thank you for your purchase.
Hi Jomit, thank you for your enquiry.

Hi Phil, thank you for your enquiry.
Yes, it wouldn't have been very wise to design a mode 3 charger without PEN fault protection built in.
Hope this helps and thank you for your purchase.
Hi Mully, thank you for your enquiry.
As a Tethered charger it comes with the cable to plug into the vehicle, but as a hard-wired device it doesn't come with the mains cabling to wire it onto your home.
Hope this helps and thank you for your purchase.
Hi Wolfgang,

Hi Addy,

Hello Mogador,
I can advise the following for the Masterplug Type 2 7.4kW 5m Tethered EV Charger:
This can be used with or without the smartphone connection. This just offers better scheduling and keeping an eye on the charging.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi ja123west, thank you for your enquiry.
Effectively, it isn't an actual separate RCD but there is a chip called an RCCM which performs all the tests an RCD would and controls the power contactor in the charger to cut power if it detects a fault (just like an RCD would do).
Hope this helps and thank you for your purchase.
Hi Peter G, thank you for your enquiry.
Solar Integration is a feature managed by the MONTA app and server to which the charger connects, with settings in your personal profile in the app to enable the feature.
