Remote Control Power Socket
This product is very useful to use and works great. The remote control works from a reasonable distance. The only minor complaint is the battery supplied with the remote control is a non-standard type so it may be difficult to obtain a replacement when needed.

Hi Clare,
The Eagle 5-Gang Extension Lead - Black can be turned fully off by using the remote control. This would stop the current to the appliances plugged in.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Yes. Using the remote switches the socket off as if you've turned off at the wall sockets.
I assume so but l don't use ours for TV and Sky box. I use ours for music centre and lamps (and Xmas lights) which switch off when turned off by remote
Hi Sid
Our supplier says "This is not advisable as the unit is surge protected and is best not to be tampered with. It maybe better to remove the plug top and extend it this way"
Thanks for using Q & A
I'd recommend that you consult manufacturers or a qualified electrician. Other than that, I'm pleased with the one I bought. I do use an extension lead, for the same reason as you would like to extend the flex. Hope you get an answer, that's suits your needs.
I wouldn't think so as it is a sealed unit for safety reasons.....would think you could try plugging into an extension cable though?
