Customers Say
Dyson Spot and Scrub robot vacuum excels in suction, mopping, and smart mapping but struggles with software glitches, size, and mop residue on floors. Mixed experiences with durability and corner cleaning.

Not there yet - clunky to use
The robot is by no means easy to set up and use. In a house with a complex layout and much glass it does not map very well and multiple room maps are required. This reuires moving the housing and robot around and it is a heavy piece of kit. It does not cope with design gaps in the flooring between say a room and a bridge. Natural wood floors with knots cause the robot to try to clean the natural pattern multiple times. Mapping software is very poor. It's not pissible tomadjust a map other than in verticals and horizontals so angles cannot be coped with.

Software underdeveloped, base broken.
Base has started leaking every other day, can't get into corners. Go to another brand that actually cares about / builds these products instead of outsourcing them. Does not have smart home or matter enabled on it which is another joke at this price point. Save your money.

Good first robot vacuum
I bought this a month ago and it has been a massive help around the house. Its app functions and the ability it has to avoid obstacles whilst providing a good clean is really brilliant. However it does have the habit of missing spots under our dining table and you can’t buy a separate dock at a lower price to do different floors. It does also produce a lot of noise.

Changed my life
Had this now for about a month such a clever machine, I have hard floors throughout wood and tiling very clever in water usage suction is great and does not knock into skirting etc. Never have to hoover or wash my floors a complete game changer. Thank you Dyson.

My evenings are mine again!
Genuinely really impressed with this one from Dyson! Dock setup was simple and intuitive, really easy to connect up to the app and the mapping was insanely fast! We were in the middle of decorating so it had to keep up with furniture moving around often but it adapted really well. The wet cleaning was absolutely awesome, the roller gave it excellent coverage and it was really satisfying to watch doing lengths of the hallway leaving a clean strip. It also doesn’t leave much water behind on the floor so it dries quickly. The vacuuming was great for day to day dust and crumbs but did struggle a little with threads that had been matted into the carpet but for the most part really impressed. I thought it was reasonably quiet during operation and you can schedule it so it doesn’t bother you. And just overall, it means I no longer have to vacuum and sweep the hard floors after putting the kids to bed. The evenings are mine again!

Not fit for purpose
It’s ok but leaves foamy puddles everywhere when mopping despite using the Dyson cleaning solution. Expected better from Dyson Update. After less than a month the Dyson has not only broken, but the dock head leaked water all over the floor causing property damage.

Great robot but needs an update
A great robot Hoover! Does a fantastic job. Suction is great and does a great mop. Noise level isn’t any different to others. Only thing Dyson need to work on is the connectivity. The robot drops from the cloud and goes offline. Dyson need to do an update to solve this.

Great for when mobility and issue
After getting the hang of mapping and removing a thick rug it couldn’t cope with, have found it to do quite a thorough job. It still misses areas, but I’m sure I’ll work it out. The suction is really good and the noise level is not to bad. I haven’t used it enough to work out if it is worth the high price.

Great concept but poor execution
I bought this a month ago and unfortunately I've had to return it. General - It's a great concept but it didn't work on my particular flooring. I have textured porcelain tiles throughout my home. The wash facility left a trail of dirty marks behind, making the floor more dirty than it was to begin with. Suction - I only tried to use this product on the dual setting where it would wash and vacuum at the same time. My normal vacuum cleaner picks up a significant amount of dog hair on a daily basis as I have a large Rottweiler, But after a week of use, the cylinder was only a quarter full on this product. Maneuverability - Because of the size of the unit, it did not fit under kitchen units meaning it couldn’t clean corners. Ergonomics - The base unit is very large and needs a significant amount of space around it, So if you’re considering this product, you’ll need to ensure that you have somewhere that you can locate it. The robot kept returning to base every 10 or 15 minutes to recharge or clean itself, leaving a puddle of dirty water under the unit itself. Noise - It’s not the loudest robot vacuum I have owned but It’s not quiet either.

Hello Argus,

Yes, this Dyson Spot + Scrub Ai is suitable for all surfaces, so it should be fine on laminate flooring.
