No, you do not need a Ring Doorbell for this to work. This camera can be used on its own and managed through the Ring app. It can also be connected in the same app you may use for a Ring Video Doorbell, but the doorbell itself is not required. It's a wired indoor camera, so it just needs power and the app setup.
