The quality of the product seems very good. It's early days to assess the longevity of it but out of the box I'm not disappointed. The charging speed is slow which is standard for these types of chargers but the LCD displays all the charging information. The 10m cable length option I chose is perfect. It's portable with good weatherproofing and short circuit protection built in. Thumbs up from me.

Does what it says
Needed a home charger for my Phev. This one worked well and very easy to set up, straight out of the box. I was worried about overheating, however, the product stayed cool, not hot at all and feels really safe and durable. Very happy with this purchase, excellent value for money.

At the UK plug end the cable is just below 10mm diameter so should easily allow a standard weatherproof socket to latch shut.

Current regulations require that any socket to be used with a Mode 2 charging cable should be suitable tested and certified for this purpose and marked "Suitable for Electric Vehicle Charging" or with the standard BS 1363-2/EV (sometimes shortened to BS 1363/EV), which we're not aware of any extension manufacturers' being.
