Its great, but a big price tag

JBL BAR 1000Mk2. I have been testing this sound bar for a couple of weeks now and wow it is absolutely amazing it was very heavy i had to get someone to help me lift it out of the box and place where i wanted it but then the rest of it was so easy, and then when i had set it up and turned it on it was WOW AMAZING what fantastic sound i was hearing it was like I'd been deaf before but now hearing real crystal clear quality sounds for the first time, i had removed a SONY 5.1 surround home cinema speaker system to put this JBL BAR in and now im in love with it. I really love the pure voice 2.0 as a lot of film pay attention to action but not the people speaking which i suffer hearing this part but not with this sound bar, now i really really love the detachable wireless Bluetooth end speakers is genius what a great idea for a brilliant panoramic surround sound like the cinema but at home, i really enjoy the night mode where you can put the end speakers anywhere behind or in front of you and turn all the rest of it off so you dont disturb your neighbours as i live in a flat, then you can turn it up a bit and still hear all the fantastic quality now the 10" subwoofer is amazing base omg i have never had the volume over 15 its to loud and my flat shakes whice i love but my neighbors not as much its good having 3 base settings id great, there are loads of ports on the back for connectivity multiple HDMI ports , LAN, Optical, eARC, wi-fi casting oh and i almost forgot it has party mode too so you can connect other wireless Bluetooth speakers to it for garden partys or outdoor activities i tryed this to replace my old one with loads of wires which is very messy, i have be testing this product for reviewclub

Premium sound quality and features in budget range

Premium sounding experience for a budget price. The JBL Subwoofer 1000MK2 series was really the upgrade that I was looking forward to as its not too expensive like other brands such as B&O or even Sonos but does match the quality and performance that the premium ones deliver. After using the product over a month my take on the product is given below ; Pros: 1. The Bass is the standout feature here even though the size of the sub woofer has gone down from previous generation the quality and richness of the bass produced have gone up actually which is great. 2. The connectivity features are the best available at this price point , you practically get all the connectivity feature that you ask for even for an audiophile like me I have no complaints. 3. The Dolby Atmos feature and multibeam 3.0 are no gimmicks here as you can really say the difference when watching good quality content along with pure voice 3.0 technology that is there no more dialogues in any of our favourite movies or series are muffled up. The night mode is also another nifty feature where we can actually switch off the subwoofer and main speaker and get the smaller detachable ones to play what we need so we ain't waking up our little ones. 4. The JBL one app is also improved now so that the connection is way better and also fine tuning the speakers based on our setting is also done through our app without any hassle. 5. The detachable speakers are better and are now rubberised with covers to both the ends so we are getting to enjoy more of what we love without any compromise and the battery life for these have also improved so we dont have to move them around midway during our favourite show or while you are enjoying the party.

Good but not great

When it comes to JBL you know the build quality is top class especially in this price bracket, JBL has gone further the design and features are fantastic, out of the box it’s plug and play very straightforward to set up, there are brackets to mount the sound bar. One of the features I love about this product is the detachable side speakers that are rechargeable and wireless so you can position them anywhere in the room for that complete surround sound experience. Unfortunately there are some features that would enhance the experience but aren’t available yet. Let me explain, the standard plug and play settings via the remote have limited functions such as you can only adjust the bass not the treble, via the app you can access the equaliser but it doesn’t have the standard Jazz, rock, cinema setting in the equaliser to keep options simple and you have to adjust the equaliser manually whenever needed depending on what you’d like to watch which dampers the experience but as it’s a modern tech and has software updates this feature may get added which will definitely enhance the experience and for that reason I’m rating it 4/5.

Bring a cinema feel to your Living Room!

I have been the proud owner of the JBL BAR 1000MK2 | Soundbar + Subwoofer for the last few weeks. I'm absolutely amazed with the high quality sound which makes it feel and sound like I'm at the cinema. I've used the Soundbar + Subwoofer for watching TV, films and for gaming on my PS5. It syncs perfectly with my LG TV and sky box. The immersive audio and deep bass make the experience much more enjoyable. I love feeling my whole body vibrate from the bass of an action film or game which makes it feel like you're actually there! The BEST thing about the JBL 1000MK2 is the detachable wireless speakers. I have been moving them around my room for surround sound. When surround sound is not required, I leave them attached to the Soundbar to look compact, neat and tidy. I love the sleek design and style of the Soundbar which goes perfectly with my decor. The JBL 1000MK2 would be perfect for all party people as playing music at the highest level is not for the faint hearted! It felt like my whole house vibrated with the bass! The only slight negative point I can raise is the size of the 10 inch Subwoofer. It is big and bulky. Although, its black and looks modern, I struggled to find a home for it without it being in the way - so just a word of warning for anyone considering purchasing for a small space or room. I highly recommend the JBL 1000MK2 to anyone wanting an at home cinematic experience. The JBL1000MK2 is 100000x better then my old soundbar and subwoofer and is definitely worth the investment.

Great sound!

I am very happy with this product so far. It was very easy to install following the instructions steps. Very easy to operate. And beautiful aesthetic. The sound is very nice and strong. And having the app makes thing even better. A bit prices but i am highly recommend it.

Immersive soundbar with amazing sound quality

This sound bar has everything that I was asking for in a soundbar. The coolest part is the detachable wireless rear speaker and they don’t require any wires to work or charge. They just snap off from the main soundbar. Another cool feature is the room calibration option during setup that creates a custom audio profile my specific room. The sound experience while watching movies and shows is just amazing with clear dialogues. The subwoofer is heavy and powerful gets the floor shaking while watching action movies. The soundbar itself is nice and sleek and fits just under my TV. The Dolby Atmos experience is quite immersive with sound coming from all around you. The deep bass is impactful.

Exceptional, cinema style sound

As with all previous JBL products, straight from the box this was a straightforward setup and the device was discoverable immediately from our phones which made setup smooth and user friendly. It did an initial software update which took around 10 minutes and then was ready to setup via the app (which made much more sense than the quick start guide included). Calibration had a few issues but that was down to where I placed the detachable speakers, but that was a simple user error which the app picked up on and guided me through! A second issue we found was getting the sound to actually play through the sound bar and speakers once setup, but again we had the HDMI cable in the wrong port on our TV (make sure you use the eARC HDMI slot which should be labelled on your TV). Once those tiny issues were out of the way, it was smooth sailing and nothing could have prepared me for the absolutely incredible sound quality and immersive experience this product would give. I truly didn't know what I was missing! The price is extremely steep, but if you are in the market for a high quality 3d sound experience then the output is 100% justified. This product gives you cinema quality surround sound in your own home and features adjustable dynamics and personalized presets all featured in the very user friendly app. It also acts as a full home experience, where the detachable side speakers can be used in any room and can be connected to a Google Home account, making listening a *unified* experience for all. Exceptional piece of kit!

Great bass, good clarity, rear speakers a pain

Very loud and great bass. It is much larger than anticipated and with the rear speakers attached to the soundbar is longer than my 49 inch TV. The sub is also a large lump but delivers great punchy bass, was difficult to find a suitable spot for it with a young child running around. The rear speakers hold a good charge and you can hook them up to their own power supply but kind of defeats the wireless aesthetic. Can be a bit of a pain having to constantly hook them back up to the main bar to charge otherwise. Overall a good speaker and great bass but with a few design flaws. Setup was easy with the app. Does seem slightly expensive especially with the need to either wire the rear speakers or charge them every 8 - 10 hours.

Incredibile experience

I have been using the JBL BAR 1000MK2 for a few weeks now and can honestly say that this is an incredible experience. It is very easy to install, to navigate through the settings and connect to the soundbar. I had a party and everyone was just impressed on how clear the sound is and how powerful the output was but without being overpowering. It has very good customisations for the sound and everything can be setup to your liking. It is great for listening to music, watching a movie, gaming etc. The detachable wireless surround speakers are a brilliant addition, no annoying cables laying around the house, and they create effortless, immersive surround sound throughout your home. The remote control could be a bit more responsive, but it still gets the job done so that is not a big problem. The design is very simple, yet modern and would match any style. I highly recommend the JBL BAR 1000MK2.

Night listening is Genius!

I have had this soundbar for a few weeks now, It has totally transformed my evenings in front of the TV! It sounds amazing, very deep bass with clear vocal too! The app control is a winner, and the night listening mode is genius! Great bit of kit, can’t fault it at all!
