Does the job
I bought the product as paint stripper wasn’t working for me. The heat gun worked as it needed to, however the attachment and the gun nozzle ended up discoloured after one use. The gun works fine and I find it good value for money. I would buy again if I needed to despite the discolouration.

Did it or did it not overheat
Heats up quite rapidly and seems to do the job well however I got a bit concerned about the smoke coming from it when I had it on the 600 degree setting. I don’t know if it was just burning off newness or not so I’m going to keep an eye out on it.

McGregor 2000W Heat Gun - highly recommend
Have used it to strip old gloss paint from skirting boards and picture rails. Tried with paint stripper first and it was having none of it. This was great for doing the job and paint came off easily enough. Comes with different nozzle shapes which I used when doing round the windows frames to direct the heat more accurately. Cannot fault the product.

glad i bought this. managed to remove an old bit of plastic from child gate glued to the wall without damaging wall and also remove gloss paintin hallway. nozzles are good if you know how to use. Just point it upwards after use till it cools and be careful you don't set it down on its side as could cause a fire.
