A good balance between price and performance
The laptop gives a balance between performance and cost. It is a good option for the university in terms of engineering career paths. The laptop only has 8 GB of RAM, which can limit the implementation of some programs; however, it can be upgraded up to 32 GB.

Fine but just check it’s for you.
I knew this was a basic machine and it’s as expected though I had forgotten how bad the SVA / TN screens are. I see even the £700 versions at Argos still come with those screens. They are unusable for long term tasks as the corners of the screen are washed out or too dark. Please consider a laptop with an IPS screen to avoid this! All buyers should know that. Other than that, this is great hooked up to a monitor at home. Sturdy but when lifted with one hand the flex will click the mouse pad - to be expected for the price.

My old laptop was very slow and wouldn’t work on windows 11. So I looked around. This one had £100 off. I’m a light user and it is great for surfing internet paying bills emails and Microsoft Office. But I am a light user so I can only say great price for me. Works great for me. Yes it is a bit plastic but lightweight and for the price what do you expect.

Bought new laptop a couple of weeks ago to replace aging HP Desktop which I'd had for around 7 years and was getting very tired in it's old age, very slow and temperamental. New laptop super fast, plenty of memory and great graphics, should have updated much sooner.
