Great bit of kit
Own a few McGregor garden products and always been impressed with them given the price bracket, they comfortably compete with the more expensive competitors. Managed to spray a very long garden fence in a fraction of the time I was expecting. Only slight flaw is the size of the resevoir, I would've been even quicker if I hadn't needed to refil it every 2 minutes, as its quite small. Used Ronseal one coat and didn't need to dilute.

Well worth the price.
Excellent piece off kit and for the price makes it a really good buy..the actual spray gun works well and was easy to clean...this was with garden fence paint watered down a little bit.

A powerful sprayer.
I had about 18 fence panels to paint which would have taken a long time to complete with a brush so I thought I would try spraying. I bought Ronseal Fencelife Plus which it was claimed was sprayable. However, when I opened a tub it had jelly like consistency which I doubted the sprayer could handle. There was no problem. The sprayer performed perfectly and the job was finished much quicker than I expected.

Waste of money!
Absolute waste of money. Barely sprays properly and dribbles out of the end. Just a total waste of money!

Hello there.
The supplier has confirmed. Yes, the McGregor 600W Paint Spray Gun can be used to spray water-based liquids, including weedkillers. However, it is important to ensure that the liquid is compatible with the spray gun's specifications. Generally, water-based paints can be diluted with water for use in spray guns, and the spray gun should run freely without dripping or clogging. Always check the manufacturer's guidelines for specific instructions and compatibility.

Hello there.
The supplier has advised the following for the McGregor 600W Paint Spray Gun
This spray gun is extremely easy to use and can be used with acrylic, emulsion or oil-based gloss paints. The pressure of the sprayer is consistent, leaving an even finish, and it’s highly recommended for fence painting.
Thank you for using Q&A
Hello Moomoo,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the McGregor 600W Paint Spray Gun: ''As this is a water based paint, this will be fine. However the customer will need to get the right viscosity.
To thin water based paints / emulsions – These can be thinned with water. A ration of 70:30 or 80:20 is common. For fence paint the ratio should be closer to 90:10.''
Thank you for using Q and A.
Hello Jonboy,
The supplier has advised the following for the McGregor 600W Paint Spray Gun:
"You cannot use this to varnish your shed."
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello Eddmc,
McGregor 600W Paint Spray Gun
As this is a HVLP ( High Velocity, Low Pressure) spray gun, it would not be suitable for a high viscosity masonry paint.
Thanks for using Q&A
Hello Tricky dickie,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the McGregor 600W Paint Spray Gun: ''We would not recommend using a HVLP paint sprayer for painting a ceiling. You will have issues with paint feed which will cause mess and lead to not great coverage and overall finish.''
Thank you for using Q and A.
