The Ruark Audio R3S Compact Music System brings proper hi-fi sound into your living room or bedroom without taking over, whether you're streaming a new album over Wi-Fi, tuning into DAB radio, or rediscovering that stack of CDs you'd forgotten about. This all-in-one system delivers 30W of power through stereo speakers with enhanced Stereo sound, so vocals are clear and bass has real depth, and it's compact enough at 42cm wide to sit on a sideboard or shelf without dominating your space.
With Internet radio, DAB, FM tuners built in, plus iPod compatibility and a USB port, you've got access to pretty much any music source you can think of. The headphone socket lets you listen privately late at night, and Wi-Fi streaming means your Spotify, BBC Sounds, or whatever service you use is just a few taps away. Setup's straightforward with mains power, and at 16.5cm tall and 20.5cm deep, it fits neatly into most rooms. Great kit
I bought this unit to replace a Bose wave radio of which the cd unit had failed (been repaired twice in 20yrs and not going through the faff and expense again). The sound is excellent, however I don't find the remote intuitive, perhaps design over function? Suppose I'll get used to it!

Im really happy that i bought this particular system. Not only is it packed with excellent features it actually sounds superb. Ive been disappointed in the past with other similar products and never quite felt the sound was quite right. The R3S however is faultless in every way and although at the top end of my budget the price is fully justified and I'm hoping for many years of top quality audio entertainment .

Refreshingly good
As this audio system is rather more expensive than many I researched and have a rather jaded opinion of buying important things online, I took some time to choose it. All the various reviews I found were very good to excellent and I was further reassured when I saw I could buy through a trusted retailer (John Lewis). Not only is the sound quality excellent, the operation is easy and the design really great. I do not hesitate to recommend the Ruark R3S

Ruark Audio - R3S Great sound
After buying this Music system a few months ago, I'm now getting used to it and enjoying the great sound that it gives, on the whole I really like it, the cd player works very well as does the internet Radio with lots of station choices and no need to have the aerial up, I think the improvements that could be made are, larger text on the display, more easy access saved stations on the remote control, there is enough room for 9 rather than the 3 currently on the remote which would save going into the menu where 8 are available. Other than this it is an excellent music system.
