The Ruark Audio R3S Compact Music System brings proper hi-fi sound into your living room or bedroom without taking over, whether you're streaming a new album over Wi-Fi, tuning into DAB radio, or rediscovering that stack of CDs you'd forgotten about. This all-in-one system delivers 30W of power through stereo speakers with enhanced Stereo sound, so vocals are clear and bass has real depth, and it's compact enough at 42cm wide to sit on a sideboard or shelf without dominating your space.
With Internet radio, DAB, FM tuners built in, plus iPod compatibility and a USB port, you've got access to pretty much any music source you can think of. The headphone socket lets you listen privately late at night, and Wi-Fi streaming means your Spotify, BBC Sounds, or whatever service you use is just a few taps away. Setup's straightforward with mains power, and at 16.5cm tall and 20.5cm deep, it fits neatly into most rooms. Great Sound
We bought this unit with our Bose radio died after 20 years. This unit almost matches that sound and is great for our purposes. I love the wireless features.

Ruark R3S
I Brought the R3S having not heard of Ruark before, after some research on the company i decided that this unit completaly fit the bill to that we were after, my wife wanted a CD player as a must & was after internet radio. The sound quility that the R3S delivers through out its volume range is increadbly clear even with the punk rock from the early 2000's.... The App that the radio is controlled from is really intuative to use & very simple to set up. The R3S is replaceing a Bose SoundTouch30 after Bose turned there SoundTouch server off. I would recomment this unit to anyone who asked.

Love my new Ruark R3S
I’ve now had my Ruark R3S for 3 weeks and am really pleased with it. It was bought after a lot of research following the ‘death’ of my Bose Soundwave system. The Ruark was easy to set up, and I have tried the Internet Radio, DAB radio, Bluetooth and CD. As far as the radio function goes, I prefer the Internet radio, as DAB where I live, can be a bit flaky! The quality of sound reproduction is excellent from all sources. I did access the on-line manual to help me save radio stations to pre-sets, and have found this a great resource to keep. The set has already downloaded automatically, a software update, after which I had to re-save my radio stations, but this is a small price to pay for keeping such an excellent system up to date. The R3S is a lovely looking piece of equipment. The rounded edges and the fabric grille, are lovely design features. A clear OLED screen gives all the information about the source being played. Really pleased with my purchase.

Great reception and sound BUT poor alarm and sleep
Sound and reception is excellent BUT Alarm and Sleep functions are complex to turn on and off, requiring multiple steps. Although instructions refer to operating a sleep button - this turns out to be after 4 earlier earlier steps in the selection process ie 5 steps to get the sleep function turned on! Other good quality equipment have single button selection for Alarm on/off and sleep. Important at night. The BOT also gave the wrong information - suggesting I had the wrong remote! The Oktiv App is slightly better at three steps to turn on sleep but you need your phone handy. So rating depends on what you actually use the equipment for.

Very good quality system
Easy to set up, and works well with my old record's turntable. However, would have like more information contained within unit of the three 'line in' settings to get the best configuration possible. The website for Ruark didn't offer any further information, so had to use good old fashioned 'trial-and-error'. Sound quality seems to be very good.

Fantastic Sound Quality!
I bought this a month ago to replace an old VitaAudio music unit in my kitchen diner. The R3 is perfect for my kitchen diner as it’s compact and stylish. I didn’t want anything bulky with speakers and wires everywhere. I just wanted to be able to listen to the radio or bluetooth my own music and this does both perfectly as well as many other tasks suchas playing CDs and connecting to many popular streaming services. The internet radio feature is great as it means you don’t have to use the aerial and the reception is crystal clear. The sound is incredible and I’m looking forward to many a happy dance off in the kitchen! Well done Ruark!!

Superb sound quality and great after sales service
I bought the RS3 unit as a graded product. Unfortunately, the CD function didn’t work ( faulty disc loading) but a quick phone call and discussion sorted the problem. A replacement unit arrived within the week. The faulty unit was collected at the same time. The new unit is working perfectly - sound quality is truly excellent with aesthetics to match. Well done Ruark!
