The Ruark Audio R3S brings Wi-Fi streaming, internet radio, DAB, FM and CD playback together in one compact music system that fits on a shelf or sideboard without taking over. Whether you're rediscovering old CDs you'd forgotten about or streaming something fresh from your favourite service, the stereo speakers and enhanced Stereo sound mean everything gets the depth and clarity it deserves, and at 30W total output, there's enough volume for filling a living room or bedroom with proper sound.
It's iPod compatible, has a USB port for connecting other devices, and the internet, DAB and FM tuners give you access to thousands of stations from around the world. There's a headphone socket if you want to listen privately, and it's sized to sit neatly wherever you need it. Setup's straightforward with mains power, and you get a 2-year manufacturer's guarantee included.

Great Sound
We bought this unit with our Bose radio died after 20 years. This unit almost matches that sound and is great for our purposes. I love the wireless features.

Love my new Ruark R3S
I’ve now had my Ruark R3S for 3 weeks and am really pleased with it. It was bought after a lot of research following the ‘death’ of my Bose Soundwave system. The Ruark was easy to set up, and I have tried the Internet Radio, DAB radio, Bluetooth and CD. As far as the radio function goes, I prefer the Internet radio, as DAB where I live, can be a bit flaky! The quality of sound reproduction is excellent from all sources. I did access the on-line manual to help me save radio stations to pre-sets, and have found this a great resource to keep. The set has already downloaded automatically, a software update, after which I had to re-save my radio stations, but this is a small price to pay for keeping such an excellent system up to date. The R3S is a lovely looking piece of equipment. The rounded edges and the fabric grille, are lovely design features. A clear OLED screen gives all the information about the source being played. Really pleased with my purchase.

Great reception and sound BUT poor alarm and sleep
Sound and reception is excellent BUT Alarm and Sleep functions are complex to turn on and off, requiring multiple steps. Although instructions refer to operating a sleep button - this turns out to be after 4 earlier earlier steps in the selection process ie 5 steps to get the sleep function turned on! Other good quality equipment have single button selection for Alarm on/off and sleep. Important at night. The BOT also gave the wrong information - suggesting I had the wrong remote! The Oktiv App is slightly better at three steps to turn on sleep but you need your phone handy. So rating depends on what you actually use the equipment for.

Very good quality system
Easy to set up, and works well with my old record's turntable. However, would have like more information contained within unit of the three 'line in' settings to get the best configuration possible. The website for Ruark didn't offer any further information, so had to use good old fashioned 'trial-and-error'. Sound quality seems to be very good.

Fantastic Sound Quality!
I bought this a month ago to replace an old VitaAudio music unit in my kitchen diner. The R3 is perfect for my kitchen diner as it’s compact and stylish. I didn’t want anything bulky with speakers and wires everywhere. I just wanted to be able to listen to the radio or bluetooth my own music and this does both perfectly as well as many other tasks suchas playing CDs and connecting to many popular streaming services. The internet radio feature is great as it means you don’t have to use the aerial and the reception is crystal clear. The sound is incredible and I’m looking forward to many a happy dance off in the kitchen! Well done Ruark!!

Superb sound quality and great after sales service
I bought the RS3 unit as a graded product. Unfortunately, the CD function didn’t work ( faulty disc loading) but a quick phone call and discussion sorted the problem. A replacement unit arrived within the week. The faulty unit was collected at the same time. The new unit is working perfectly - sound quality is truly excellent with aesthetics to match. Well done Ruark!

Superb system
I've just received the latest R3 for my birthday and love the sound and features. It is a replacement for the original R3 I bought 12 years ago and still have which has been well used. The new version has great features like the Bluetooth and Internet radio but still a vital CD player! In my opinion still the best build quality and sound for it's size and cost. Keep up the good work with your superb products Ruark!
