Ease of Use

Had been looking for a system to replace a Sony system we had, which we had issues with for some time. We did our research and came across the R3S. We wanted a demonstration of its capabilities, sound and ease of use. Once we had these demonstrated the product sold itself. Although we had also wanted to review other products we were so impressed with the R3S we did not bother. That was sometime ago and we very pleased with our purchase and it has fulfilled all our expectations.

I didn’t know about Ruark until I saw the competition in Boom Radio newsletter. I thought that would be perfect to replace my Denham system. I completed the competition and surprisingly I won. When I told my friend who is a Hifi buff he told me that Ruark is very highly thought off. I am extremely pleased with the unit, I chose the light grey case to fit in wth the decor. It was so easy to set up and connect with Amazon music. With DAB + I can listen to my favourite radio stations. Sound quality is superb and easily beats my old system. I have also resurrected my vast CD collection which has been stored in the loft for a couple of years.

Expansive Sound

Having thoroughly researched several options for a stand alone cd player I eventually settled on the Ruark R3 and boy am I glad I did. For a small unit the sound is incredible, great separation, vocals are crisp and clear,perfect for my listening preferences.The sound fills the room leading to a very enjoyable listening experience. Bought primarily for playing my sadly neglected cd collection, as I've recently returned to vinyl, the R3 is absolutely perfect for my needs and is also a lovely looking piece of kit! An absolute solid ten out of ten from me

Sounds great and looks elegant.

I've been looking for a CD player for a few years - something neat but with a great sound. I got a CD player with this RS3 and more. The internet radio is fantastic. I'm able to listen to niche radio stations from across the world, DAB, FM, USB and Bluetooth. The sound is very good for all the size of this elegant looking little thing. I bought a variety of comparable CD players, but returned all of them. They were cheaper, but the compromise on quality just wasn't worth it.

Great sound- but not cheap

Quite happy with the unit so far. set-up is quite simple and controls are intuitive. Sound is very good and unit looks to be quality. It fits in quite unobtrusively . I hope it lasts as long as the Bose system it replaced - then I will be in a better position to judge build quality.

Almost perfect

I am very happy with my R3S. The sound is excellent from such a small box. I would have given it 5 stars but it does not connect easily to internet radio, it takes about 5 mins.to connect to each station. I have a Robert’s portable radio that I have no problem with. I do like to browse internet radio and this makes it frustratingly slow.

Lovely setup for Radio and CD lovers

Bought this as a Birthday treat and to get all my CDs back out again. Avid listener to DAB Radio 5, Radio 6 and ClassicFM. Needed the alarms and sleep timer which this does really well. As other reviews have pointed out - great sound at low volume and the CD player was a brilliant addition to allow me to get my CDs back out and start collecting them again! Amazing sound and great features and looks fab! Thank you.

Excellent

I bought the R3S three weeks ago as a treat for myself, I am so glad that I did. The sound quality is just the best and it looks good too. It is a considered purchase but please do not hesitate as you will not be disappointed.
