With DAB, DAB and FM built in, enjoy clear reception and 8 presets to jump straight to Radio 4, your local station, or streaming services using the trademark Roto Dial controller. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5 let you stream from your mobile easily, with Bluetooth remembering up to 6 devices. The alarm and sleep timer make it a perfect bedside companion, and the colour display is clear across the room.
The Composite wood hand-crafted grille and Satin Charcoal finish give it a look that fits beautifully on a bedside table, kitchen counter, or living room shelf without feeling like tech clutter. This is a great little radio.
I bought this a month and a half ago as a bed side radio to replace a larger internet radio / loudspeaker system from a well knows US supplier that has stopped supporting its product. The RS1 has a smaller bed side footprint and a larger, clearer clock and information display. It does all the things the earlier product did but it also includes a DAB radio and an alarm clock function with 2 settings. I use it as a. Wi Fi device and it works flawlessly. It’s very pleasing to listen to and I am very glad I bought it.

We love our new smart radio, the ability to connect with spotify without bluetooth, use your phone on a call at the same time as spotify is so clever. Moving radio stations is so easy. Plus it is a neat unit that blends in and looks smart in our kitchen. Best radio i have ever had .

Wow…amazing sound
Just bought this 1 month ago to replace an old dab radio. What can I say the sound is phenomenal (for such a small product) all features are amazing. I use the internet radio feature as I live in a poor dab reception area ( which I get a better reception than my old radio) Spotify is also a great feature. This is a great compact music centre packing a great sound and good bass. Filling the room with great clear sound ( dinning kitchen)

Best Ever Radio
This is quite simply the best radio I have ever owned. The sound is excellent and it is very easy to set up and use. The small size and the price point were also major points in its favour for me. I am listening to the Proms 2026 season on it both via DAB and Bluetooth/BBC Sounds. My previous radio had problems coping with BBC R3's dynamic range so I was perpetually having to reach for the volume control but this Ruark is broadcasting the sound beautifully.

Just what I wanted after a lot of research
Radio arrived beautifully packed and easy to operate. Very quick to detect my wifi and load stations. Looks lovely on my table in the lounge.

Great sound, slightly fiddly controls
I bought my R1S as graded as I couldn't afford full price. It doesn't have any visible defects so I'm happy with that. The sound is great as expected. I just wish it had a few buttons for single press channel change. My older intempo radio has this and it's so easy to switch between favourites. With the Ruark it's fiddly and involves putting on glasses, pressing favourites and turning the rotary dial. That's my only criticism.
