About this product
The Vax LiftOut Reach Pet is built for tackling the whole house without constantly switching plugs. It's a corded upright with a clever lift-out canister that lets you take the vacuum wherever you need it, from stairs to ceilings to tight corners. With a 10m power cord and 3.5m hose, you get a total cleaning reach of up to 14.5m, which means you can cover most rooms and hallways without unplugging.
The anti-hair wrap technology prevents pet and long hair from tangling around the brush roll, saving time if you have shedding pets or long-haired family members. The motorised floorhead adjusts for carpets, rugs and hard floors, with side suction for edge-to-edge cleaning along skirting boards. The 2L bagless dustbin has a full indicator. Weighing 6.4kg, it includes a pet tool, crevice nozzle, upholstery nozzle, and turbo brush for furniture and stairs. It runs at about 80 decibels and uses multi-cyclonic technology to maintain suction across all surfaces.

Not great
I was super excited to use the new hoover after reading some good reviews…. However I was quite dissatisfied, it did not meet my expectations at all! Considering it’s the pet version I have to hoover over the same spot numerous times for it to actually pick the dog hair up. The suction doesn’t seem to be overly strong for a brand new hoover, I was definitely expecting better. I personally would not recommend the hoover.

I bought this hoover a couple of weeks ago . I have 2 dogs and cats and thought this would be ideal . I find it to be a heavy hoover and quite cumbersome, it falls a lot . The cord isn’t long enough , I can only hoover half of my lounge rug without having to plug in somewhere else - I don’t have a big house ! Suction isn’t great until you use the pet attachment but using it for to long gives back ache . I’m personally not impressed and wouldn’t recommend to anyone with multiple pets or a large house .

Disappointed
Bought this a month ago, trying to get on top of the hair from 3 cats. Disappointed that the “pet element is a small brush that has to be used on the end of a hose. I’m 5ft 8 so need to bend when using it. Had imagined that the main brush would pick up pet hair, but it doesn’t.

Great machine and value for money
Because I used to have a cordless vacuumed cleaner I find the vax heavy and not as manoeuvrable ( admittedly I am 72 so maybe the exercise will do me good) and I am not used to be tied to the wall anymore. Having said that the suction on this machine is fantastic and really deep cleaned my carpets and is the best powered vacuum I have ever used. The length of the cord is fantastic, so no need to worry if you don’t have many sockets. The accessories clip on and off really easily and come with a handy little bag. It is a really good machine and is value for money. The lift off feature is a game changer for stairs.

Classic Vacuum Cleaner With Futuristic Tools
I have had the opportunity to try out most of the features and accessories for this vacuum cleaner and I’m really pleased with everything about it. It is very robustly built, and although that means it is heavier than say a cordless stick vacuum, it is very easy to get into corners, along skirting boards and under furniture. I don’t have stairs in my property so I’ve not made a great deal of use of the lift off features, but I have used it to clean curtains and found it no trouble at all to hold the cleaner in one hand and ‘sweep’ down the curtains with the other. All the tools that come with it do everything you would expect them to do and at the end of the cleaning, the bin is easy to empty. I have new carpets fitted, so I’m emptying it every time I use it due to the loose fluff that comes off them. It is a decent sized bin though, so I could imagine that after a time it will only need emptying after a few uses. It has a decent length mains cable so you can do a fair bit of flooring before needing to plug it in somewhere else. The cable coils up nicely on the side of the vacuum cleaner once you want to put it away. All in all, this cleaner has all the benefits of a traditional vacuum, plus a lot of very useful design features that extend the classic tools or provide new, convenient ones as well. I’m happy to recommend it to anyone looking for a good workhorse that offers a lot of flexibility.

Great vacuum!
I was sceptical as I’ve used Shark vacuums for several years now but I was pleasantly surprised with the results from using the Vax! My carpets came up beautifully. It’s easy to use and gives great results even using the supplied tools for stairs and crevices.
