Amazon Echo Show 8 2025 Smart Display with Alexa - White

Great addition!

I was excited to receive this latest Amazon product having been a long time user of Kindle Fire and having several dots. The first thing that struck me was the weight this is a chunky bit of kit! Suspect this is down to the speaker, it looks good once in place although the size and weight means it’s better suited to a fixed position and not moved about- in-fact similar to the dots it only works with a power source. I was initially disappointed to see the screen didn’t have any option to adjust the angle of it, but in all honesty having used it for several weeks this hasn’t yet been an issue. It took me a while to get used to it, the screen controls are a bit clunky in all honestly it works best from voice instruction. Took me a while to think of it as an advanced dot and not a fire tablet for example it doesn’t have a search button. Plus points: Brilliant quality sound and volume Being able to view camera into the room from app when out and about could be super handy Great for watching Netflix etc Like the time display in testing screen Like the sliding screen show on resting screen Sure it has lots of other clever features I haven’t discovered yet! Negative It’s heavy and a little chunky Screen controls not great voice much quicker but not always very accurate Has to be plugged in at all times Won’t play Now Tv or paramount Instructions are pretty sparse Overall I really like it and have found I’ve switched to using this over my Fire for watching Netflix etc Would be sad to loose it just need to get to grips with all the features!

Fantastic, super helpful addition to our home!

I’m really impressed with the Echo Show 8. Setup was unbelievably quick and easy. It connected to my Amazon account and found the Wi-Fi straight away, no fuss. The screen is bright and clear, and the sound quality is excellent for the size. My children are obsessed with asking Alexa how many days are left until Christmas every single morning, which has become a fun little tradition in our house. I also really love the shopping list feature. It’s so handy to add things as I think of them and the daily recipe suggestions have been a huge help when I’m stuck for meal ideas. Overall, a brilliant device that looks great, is easy to use, and has already made everyday tasks so much simpler. Would definitely recommend!

My favourite gadget!

The Amazon Echo has honestly become one of my favorite little gadgets at home. It’s super easy to set up, and Alexa hears me even when I’m talking from across the room (or yelling from the kitchen). The sound is way better than I expected—music and podcasts sound really solid for the size. My children also love the features which they can navigate the screen and ask questions as well as call the other Alexa’s in our home in different rooms to speak to people in different rooms (saves shouting!!!)

I’m really impressed with the Amazon Echo Show 8. The design is very stylish and modern, and it looks much sleeker compared to my previous version. Setup was incredibly easy, and using it day-to-day is simple and straightforward. The screen size is just right—large enough to be genuinely useful without making the device bulky. The HD touchscreen is sharp, bright, and perfect for video calls, checking recipes, or anything else you want to quickly glance at. Overall, this is a fantastic upgrade and well worth it!

The very Smart Echo Show 8

Echo Show 8 Just got the Echo Show 8 it looks very classy and fits in perfect with my picture frames. I found this very easy to set up you just follow the on-screen prompts and it only takes a few minutes . The Echo Show 8 can control hundreds of your devices through Alexa without having a separate home hub. You have a very good assistant for seeing all your recipes at a glance and also your calendars. You can use this device as a photo frame for all your favourite photos which automatically change at a chosen speed to your liking My favourite thing is the sound quality when playing music and films and the sound is fantastic. The 8.7” HD screen is very crisp for your everyday viewing and doesn’t strain your eyes. You can switch on your smart lights and gadgets through your Alexa voice commands. Another great feature is that you can just add to your shopping list as and when you remember them. In a nutshell this is a great gadget to have around the home and very smart. GT

Amazing Echo Show

Plugged this in today and the set up was super easy, i chose to connect to my account and found the wifi instantly. This was an upgrade from the echo dot and i am super impressed with this new device. The screen is brilliant with a great quality and i am currently navigating my way through all the different options. I am loving the excellent sound quality of this compared to my other Alexa devices. I will be keeping this in my kitchen due to all the amazing options but although it’s nice and sturdy it could easily be transferred to another room. Loving my new device 🫶

Really enjoyed the updated version

I really like it. It’s an updated version of previous ones. The sound is really good and loud. It doesn’t have the video option such as Netflix or prime as yet as an app but you can watch it via the browser option. Very smooth set up. Very well presented. I like the new options you can do with the Home Screen.

Echo show 8

Really impressed with the echo show 8. The screen is bright and clear and has good sound for screen size. Alexa responds quickly and accurately. Good to control smart home devices from one place. Good screen size to watch a programme while doing bits in the kitchen which impressed me or even step by step cooking instructions. Its very straight forward to set up and use. Very impressed with this product. Worth the money

Great product!

Impressed with the product on various levels. Packaging was fully recyclable and protected the unit well. Setting up was really simple.. just need to power up and connect to wi-fi making sure passwords are ready to hand. There were, however, a few minor glitches in trying to set up camera view. I must say that I only have a basic knowledge of all things technical but few minor connection issues I encountered were quickly resolved. The screen quality is excellent as is the sound and build quality. The unit is fairly compact and relatively unobtrusive. I’ve had some pleasant hours, listening and rediscovering my love for music. Really impressed.

Great vibrant device!

Wow! Absolutely love this Alexa Show 8. It has an 8.7" display which is really clear, the sound is really good and also clear. Iv previously had the Echo Show 3 so this is a big improvement. Havent played with it properly yet but able to get onto Prime and Youtube so far and so far really impressed. Only downside so far is no Netflix but believe this can be installed maybe on an update.
