Hose breaks
I have one, cleans well but the hose is awful. Broken there times, its out of warranty maybe 16 months old, had limited use. I do expect appliances to last more than 16 months

Convenient and easy to use
I bought this as I have pets, it is great for cleaning up after them if they've had an accident. It is really easy to use too once it has been primed. Which did take a few minutes.

Does exactly what it is supposed to!
Bought this to clean a cloth sofa and a couple of deep pile rugs. We have a small dog and needed to do some cleaning. We previously had an upright Vax with hose attachment. This new cleaner was a lot easier to use than the upright for cleaning the sofa and did a great job. The extra length of the hose and electrical cable make this very versatile. It also cleaned the rugs just as well as the upright but obviously took longer and required more work but I feel it will be more versatile for spot cleaning. Everything dried quite quickly as this has a finer mist spray that doesnt soak the fabric as much.

Upright carpet cleaners are designed for larger areas, to deep clean entire rooms.

I can advise that this can be used on older stains. I would recommend obtaining and correctly diluting the Vax carpet cleaner solution, spraying the stain with the carpet cleaner, using the scrapper end to work the solution into the stain and then letting it soak in for 5-10 minutes before then going over it. You may have to repeat this several times. Some very dark or very old stains may not come out entirely.
