Very happy with this Casio watch. Budget friendly and looks very cool, exactly as in the product photos and a great retro vibe. I was very happy with the backlight as it works very well against the black digital display. Plenty bright enough and it illuminates the whole display, unlike some others which only light up the left side of the display. This watch looks better on smaller wrists due to its modest size, although the stainless steel strap would be long enough for most people. The strap itself is easily adjustable and secure. My only slight annoyance is that it often snags or pulls on the little wrist hairs, but that is normal with this type of wrist strap, and I'm getting used to it! Functions are basic, which is exactly what I wanted. I just want it to tell the time! Accurate so far, but only had it for a few weeks. Doesn’t feel too cheap or flimsy considering the price. Durability is as you would expect, and Overall, great value if you're looking for a simple, no-frills watch that looks a bit nicer than similar plastic and resin strap models. I would definitely buy more of these with different colour dial/face.

Mine has full illumination backlight, its a soft blue light and it lights up the whole display really well from behind. Maybe they have updated the feature?
I know exactly what you mean about lighting one side only, my previous Casio was like that and it was useless in the middle of the night. Thats why I had to buy this model.
This one is perfect, no issues at all. Maybe I got lucky with mine?
