This robust battery charger from Streetwize can recharge 12V lead acid batteries found in cars, vans, caravans, motorhomes, motorcycles and lawnmowevers. This particular battery charger is ideal for charging 12V lead acid batteries with a capacity of between 20Ah to 80Ah. You can find out the battery's capacity in either your vehicle handbook or manual. Charge rate: 4.2ADC to 6 Amps.

Brilliant Charger
I bought this to recover the main battery and two leausire batteries on our motorhome which had drained somewhat over the winter. This charger, over three days continuous use over the three batteries, charged them all fully and saved me a fortune in having to replace them. It's 6amp so offers a nice slow charge which was ideal for my larger batteries. For what it cost it was a fantastic purchase.

Yes, you would need to disconnect the battery from the vehicle to avoid damage to the alternator. It is advisable where possible to remove the battery from the vehicle as spillage from the battery can cause damage.

It can charge the dead battery, but the low battery voltage can lead to a relatively high current, which might cause the product to overheat and be damaged

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Streetwize 6 Amp Heavy Duty Automatic 12V Battery Charger:
1)When the battery is fully charged and clamped on, the pointer just reaches the black area.
2)If the battery is not clamped on and it's plugged into the mains power, it reaches black.
