Great looking mount
Looks really great and easy to install. I should have changed to a mag mount before. The mount includes a self adhesive rig to attach to a phone that doesn't already have a mag mount case. The mount looks really good as well, not cheap looking plastic. I've actually mounted it horizontally, which is not recommended way and it works fine.

Simple no nonsense phone holder
I bought this to add my phone to the car i don't like sucker type holders or the vent mount this style seemed the logical choice. I wasn't sure about the magnet ring to hold the phone but as long as you place the phone correctly it holds great the arm although a bit shorter than i expected did the job and i was able to position my phone exactly where i waited and i have another mounting velcro pad if i decide to reposition it or use it in another car. Overall i like the sleek simple design it works for me

Almost perfect, magnet could be stronger
Pretty good. I have a Berlingo with a curvy dash and not many convenient spots because of the screen in the middle, and this is slim and fits in so I can plonk the phone next to the screen. However, the magnet isn’t hugely strong. In my partner’s car, the phone holder holds my phone without having to take the case off. This won’t connect through the case, I’ll have to move the magnet to the outside of my case which is a bit annoying. Otherwise, can’t fault it. I also stuck the phone on it right away, didn’t wait the 48 hours, and it held no problem on two separate 3-hours drives.

If your phone does not already have the magnetic ring, yes you need it on your phone. This phone holder comes with a self adhesive magnet ring that will fit on any phone or phone case. Wish I had known before I had purchased a separate magnetic ring.

The adhesive works best on flat or slightly curved surfaces. If your dashboard is heavily curved, the mount may not stick securely. Choosing the flattest area is recommended.
There is a self adhesive magnetic ring supplied with this phone holder so it can be used with any phone.
