3‑point seat belt is the standard seat belt fitted in most modern cars, including in the UK. The Booster Seat is designed to be used with this type of belt.
A 3‑point seat belt has three anchorage points, which is where the name comes from:
One point at the shoulder (upper anchor)
One point beside the hip (lower anchor)
One point next to the seat buckle
It forms a diagonal strap across the chest and a lap strap across the hips.

The green clip is just to go around the seat belt to ensure it's reachable when the seat is left in situ after use. This has no safety feature to it.
