The Tapo C113 is a compact indoor/outdoor Wi-Fi security camera delivering 2K (3MP) resolution, with a 114-degree diagonal field of view and IP65 weatherproofing. It includes colour night vision using spotlights, plus IR-based black-and-white night vision when needed, smart AI alerts for people/motion and baby-cry detection, two-way audio, activity & privacy zones, local microSD storage (up to 512 GB) or optional cloud, powered via USB-C.
The camera captures low-light images in incredibly 2K high definition, with colourful detail.
2K 3MP clarity goes beyond traditional Full HD 1080p resolution, so that no details will go undetected or blurred.

This has a usb type c and a cable its very will need to buy a longer cable. But the one supplied has waterproof protection so Will Need to locate one the same. Disappointed tgat cable changed Quality is good

Hi,
To receive phone notifications when your Tapo camera detects motion, people, pets, vehicles, or sound, you can use the following methods:
1. Open the Tapo app > Home tab > tap the camera card to enter the live view page.
2. Tap the settings icon in the top right to enter Camera Settings.
3. Go to Detection and enable the desired detection types.
4. Go to Notifications and enable Activity Notifications and the activity types you wish to receive alerts for. Note that some models don't support activity type filtering and will send all alerts.
5. View notifications in the Tapo app > Home > Message Center (top right corner).

Hi Nicky,
During initial configuration, Tapo cameras must be connected to a network, either by cable or wirelessly.Tapo C113 only support 2.4Ghz wifi. Once set up, the camera can continue to function even if it loses its router connection. SD card recording, including detection recording and 24/7 recording, will keep running. However, without a Wi-Fi network connection, you will not be able to view the live feed, play back videos, or receive detection notifications through the Tapo app.

Unfortunately, we do not recommend installing the camera facing a window as this will affect the camera's detection. The Tapo C113 supports outdoor use; if you need to monitor outdoors, you can install it directly outdoors.

Generally, we do not recommend using extension cables to power cameras for the following reasons: The material and length of the extension cable may cause the camera to receive a lower voltage than required for normal operation, leading to abnormal behavior such as automatic camera restarts or stuttering during pan/tilt rotation.
Furthermore, a 30-meter extension length is considerable, and the voltage drop issue will be more pronounced, potentially affecting the camera's stable operation. If your installation scenario truly requires such a long cabling distance, we suggest you consider connecting a separate power source near the camera's installation location. Consult with a professional electrician for a more suitable cabling solution.

To enable continuous recording, you need a microSD card. Insert the microSD card into the camera and initialize it using the Tapo app.
You can set up a recording schedule on the Tapo app > Camera's Device Settings > Storage & Recording > Recording Schedule page, and customize the time periods for detection recording or continuous recording.

Tapo cameras do require a stable internet connection to stay online and function properly.
If your camera is connected to your home WiFi and the network remains stable, then the camera will normally stay online even when you are not at home. Your presence at home is not required for it to stay connected.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Tapo C113 2K 3MP Outdoor Security Wi-Fi Camera Local Storage: ''Tapo C113 offers three Night Mode options: Infrared Mode, Full-Color Mode, and Smart Mode.
Infrared Mode: The camera uses its 2× IR (Infrared) lights to capture footage at night. Infrared light is invisible to the human eye, so the camera will not produce any visible glow or light. But the live view will be black and white.
Full-Color Mode: The camera activates its 2× White Lights to illuminate the area and capture color footage. This mode will produce visible light, so it would not be suitable if you want the camera to remain undetected.
Smart Mode: This mode automatically switches mode based on the lighting conditions.
For your specific goal of keeping the camera hidden at night, it is recommended setting the Night Mode to Infrared Mode.''

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for Tapo C113 2K 3MP Outdoor Security Wi-Fi Camera Local Storage.
The Tapo C113 uses a USB Type-C power port on the camera itself. The package includes a USB-A to Type-C wire with a 2-meter power cord length. The power adapter has an output of 5.0V, 1.0A (Type-C Power).
Since the camera uses a Type-C connector rather than a traditional barrel plug, the connector is relatively compact and flat. This means you would only need to drill a smaller hole compared to older barrel plug designs, making it easier to route the cable through walls or other surfaces for outdoor installation.
