About this product
The Epson EcoTank ET-2950 is designed for anyone who wants professional-quality printing without the constant hassle and expense of replacing cartridges. This wireless A4 inkjet printer handles printing, scanning and copying, and comes with refillable ink tanks that deliver up to 8,500 pages in black and 6,500 in colour from one set of bottles, which is equivalent to around 63 cartridges. You get borderless photo printing up to A4, automatic double-sided printing, and speeds of 15ppm in black or 8ppm in colour, so everyday documents and family photos are all handled without fuss.
The 100-sheet rear paper tray means less refilling, and the 3.7cm LCD screen makes navigation easy even if you're not confident with tech. Wi-Fi connects your laptop, smartphone or tablet without cables, and you can print directly from mobile devices using the Epson Smart Panel app or Apple AirPrint. It prints on paper up to 300gsm and delivers up to 4800x1200dpi resolution, so photos look vibrant and text stays sharp. The printer is compact for home use, weighs around 5kg, and comes with ink bottles, power cable, and setup guide to get started straight away.

Great printer
Bought it as a birthday present, took a little while to set up because you're computer won't recognise it as it's not automatic (you'll need to download an app for your system, go to the website, download programs), but as long as you follow the instructions it's gonna be alright. Everything else is great

Easy to setup.
This printer is an upgrade from the earlier ET-2850 model. The case has been remodelled and looks very fresh. Setup was super easy because this model has a user interface screen on the front, so no need to lookup what sequence of buttons need to be pressed when problems arise. I run a computer repair and supply business and I will be highly recommend this model to my clients. The only downside is that where Epson used to supply two Black ink refills, this model cambe with only one.

A Great Printer
After 3 days use very pleased with the Epson eco tank ET 2950 it is fast and quiet and prints on both sides of A4. Scored 78% in Which magazine so should be pretty good. The only issue is the stack of paper ready to print seems to bend rather than stay flat, but it opens the printer drawer ready to accept the printed sheet of paper when you initialise printing. Abit surprised it took nearly a full bottle of ink to fill the tank and then used up about 20 % of the tank capacity in all colours setting up. Managed to connect to wi fi and the resolution seems great. Not managed to try sending 20 pages to print to see how it manages that, our old HP 8600 gave up the ghost on that, then failed to print, hence needed a new printer.

Impressed by first Epson
Bought this to replace a Canon megatank printer which, although less than a year old, was starting to become unrelaible eg aborting print jobs part-way through. The Epson comes with little in the way of printed instructions but I was easily able to install and set it up without needing to download the app to a smartphone. Certainly the postage stamp sized screen is harder to navigate than the Canon's touchscreen but it's possible. In use, the Epson seems faster, particularly on duplex printing and it hasnt let us down yet. When purchasing the printer from Argos, I realsed that they dont offer an extended warranty as for the Canon. However, I see that Epson offers a 5-year manufacturers warranty so probably no need.
