I’ve never hated an appliance more
This is the most pathetic, attention seeking, poor quality, too safe, too annoying hob I have ever come across. I write this review whilst waiting for it to stop sulking as it turned off due to the tiniest pasta overflow. You wipe it; it cry’s and turns off, something boils over, it’s turns off. It beeps at you all the time. I am currently at the point where I will pay these appliances companies more to contain less technology. Purchase this hob at your own peril. You will hate it. It’s like having a just stop oil kiddie living in my house. Oh and it’s managed to crack itself…. Not covered under warranty by the way! In case you’re wondering it’s lamb ragú I’m waiting to get back to cooking when it’ll finally let me use it again.

Hob IBX64200CB
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased the AEG IBX64200CB 60cm induction hob, and it has been the best decision I have ever made! This hob is incredibly convenient to use with its touch control, allowing for precise temperature adjustments. The PowerBoost function is outstanding, bringing water to a boil almost instantly, which significantly reduces cooking time. With four cooking zones, it is perfectly suited for different pan sizes. Additionally, the residual heat indicators ensure safety by preventing accidental burns. The control lock feature is also very useful, especially with small children at home. The hob is easy to install and clean, and its sleek black color perfectly complements my kitchen decor. All these features make the AEG IBX64200CB an indispensable induction hob, greatly simplifying everyday cooking.

Cooking made easier and quicker
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product was an upgrade on my current old cracked hob. From purchasing online to delivery the service was excellent. Delivery gave a time 2 hour slot the night before then rang when they were 30 mins away. I installed this myself as it was the same size as my current hob. Installation was quick and easy . A quick read of the instructions and I was ready to go. It has 4 pan spaces of different diameter. The larger one being at the front left . They all have booster mode so you can heat up water for Pasta or vegetables quicker then your kettle! I put a pan of cold water on and it was warm within 30 seconds I was amazed, although on boost it is a little noisey ! It is very energy efficient in comparison to my old induction hob, my smart meter did not go up as fast using the new AEG hob as with my previous one. I like how easy it is to use and that it will not heat unless a pan is on the zone you want . And it also has a child lock as further safety too. The hobs are not too hot after use aswell which is great. The controls are very touch sensitive but with use you get used to this. I also activated my 2 year warranty which is a great extra from AEG. All in all this is a great basic entry induction hob that is great value for money.

This appliance is a 3kw hob. None of what you suggest will increase its output.
The AEG IBX64200CB induction hob appears to be a Class I appliance, not Class II. Here's why:
According to the user manual and ManualsLib, the appliance must be earthed unless the Class II symbol is printed on the rating plate.
Class II appliances are double insulated and do not require an earth connection, typically indicated by a square-in-a-square symbol. If your unit lacks this symbol and the manual states earthing is required, it is not Class II.
The presence of a two-core cable without earth might suggest Class II, but this alone is not definitive. The classification depends on the internal insulation and safety design, not just the cable.
What You Can Do:
Check the rating plate on the appliance itself. If it has the Class II symbol (a square within a square), then it is Class II.
If no symbol is present, and the manual mentions earthing, then it is Class I, and the lack of an earth wire may be a concern depending on installation requirements.
