About this product
Touch-control hob with smooth, easy-clean integrated surface. Extendable cooking zone for wider choice of pans. Front-positioned residual-heat indicators for an instant overview. Child safety device – ensures the hob stays off.
Cooking often requires using pots and pans with special sizes. That's why this hob has an extendable cooking zone, which is adapted to a wider range of pans and enables you to cook in a more energy-efficient way.
The residual-heat indicators on this hob are located at the front of the cooktop, giving you an instant overview of the different statuses of your cooking zones. So whether you want to use your hob's residual heat to keep a dish warm, or simply want to avoid burns, you know exactly which areas are still cooling down.
When you activate the child safety lock, you can be 100% sure that little fingers cannot turn the hob on – whether accidentally or on purpose!

Brillant hob, fits in perfectly with our new kitchen

All as expected
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a standard design most hobs have so meets the expectations. I would only change the touch buttons all these new hobs have to not be actually on the cooking area as they are sensitive so as to avoid shutting down by accident. It is also annoying when making sound when you clean the surface as you will always clean the whole surface

Great product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great product. Used for few years, quick to heat. Easy to clean. I find it very good. I would recommend it if you are looking for a ceramic hob.

My new hob
Had to replace my old hob because of its age so I went for a more modern upgrade and I can honestly say I am very happy with my new hob. Gone are the control knobs and the new one has the finger touch control and what an excellent upgrade so easy to control the temperature of each ring. Cleaning is also very easy when cold a wipe with a warm soapy cloth and a quick polish with a dry cloth and jobs all done. Very pleased with the hob from design to quality and the AEG name give peace of mind in knowing you have bought a good quality product.

Good looking, good quality Hob.
We have been an AEG Appliance home for many years. This hob was to replace a similar 78cm wide version that strangely stopped working during a kitchen remodel. Should have gone for the next model up as now miss some of the functionality of the previous model

Great hob
We have just started to use our Hob and have found it to be just as we expected. It is easy to use and works well

Temperature not achieved very quick
This hob certainly does not heat as quickly as my previous hob. Had the biggest hob on 9 all the time to cook onions chicken and peppers. It took for ages and I did not need to lower

Neat and esy to use
We had to change from an induction to a ceramic hob, for medical reasons (Pacemaker). We chose AEG because of its reputation and we have not been disappointed. It is neat but strongly made and like all 'glass hobs' it needs to be kept clean to avoid marking - but its design makes that very easy. The flexible, larger front hob is great for stir frying and other jobs needing a good spread of heat. The 'two' ring option is very useful. It has taken time to get used to the slower heat-up (compared with our induction hob), but we are getting there and learning to use the residual heat as a 'keep warm' facility. If allowed, we would still prefer an induction hob, but when medical reasons prevent that, this hob is a great substitute.

The AEG HK624010FB is a ceramic hob (not induction) and does not have Hob²Hood wireless connectivity. Hob²Hood is the AEG technology that allows a hob to communicate wirelessly with compatible cooker hoods like the 9000 Series AutoSense GDG966AB, but it is only available on certain induction hob models, not on ceramic hobs like the HK624010FB.
Yes, the Electrolux HK624010FB hob does support the Hob2Hood® function.
According to Electrolux's official documentation, the Hob2Hood® feature allows compatible hobs and cooker hoods to communicate wirelessly. When both appliances support this function, the hood automatically adjusts its fan speed and lighting based on the cooking activity detected by the hob.

Key Points:
HK624010FB is Hob2Hood-enabled.
For the feature to work, your cooker hood must also support Hob2Hood.
The connection is infrared-based, so make sure:
There’s a clear line of sight between the hob and the hood.
The hob’s control panel isn’t covered.
The hood isn’t exposed to direct sunlight or halogen light, which can interfere with the signal.
The AEG HK624010FB is a 60 cm ceramic electric hob with a sleek black glass finish, touch controls, and features like a double cooking zone and child safety lock. If you're looking for a direct replacement or a very similar model to minimize installation hassle, the best option is to replace it with the same model or one from the same AEG series that shares the same dimensions and installation system.
