Great size for quick spills etc
Only had this for a couple of weeks but already used it twice when my dog was sick over a cream carpet! Very easy to use & cleared up the mess easily. Much quicker the getting out my vax carpet shampooed.

Much better results than expected.
I was on the fence about getting one of these for a while, but 3 dogs and the fact that you could barely see the pattern on the rug swayed me. Used the spray and the in-machine solution, and because it was a deep clean, I went over the heavily stained areas twice. Came up much better than I expected to be honest. Now I’ll just do a quick go over high traffic areas every month, and that should keep everything looking good. Very happy with the ease of use, it’s simple to take apart to clean - I just ran everything through with warm water and that was it. Came with full cleaning kit and lots of attachments. Excellent value for money.

Quick setup and does the job well.
Already had a VAX upright carpet washer, but decided to go for the smaller spot washer unit. I have two small dogs and carpets, the spot washer setup is quick and easy to setup. Great for those doggy misapps and muddy paws when wet out side. Compact and easy to store. Care is required unit dosn't fall over when pulling unit around with hose and cleaning tool. Learning curve I guess, hose connected to side of machine.

Hose split after a hand full of times
The carpet cleaner is compact, which is great for storage. Easy to clean and use. However the hose split after only using it a few times. The brushes that attach don’t feel very secure, but does the job.

Unreliable !!!
Bought this Spot Wash just over a year ago and only used it three times. I did have a problem on first use, but it seemed to sort itself out the 2nd time. But on the third time, water started to leak out from the base of the machine, which I have been told are leak holes. As I'm out of warranty, I'm stuck with a faulty machine that cannot be repaired, as no paid repair service is offered, and I have only the option of further expense to buy another machine at a 10% discount. Very disappointing from a brand I have favoured in the past !

The model number for the Vax SpotWash Home and Car Spot Cleaner is CDSW-MPDC. Looking into the item there is no rotary tool that can be fitted.

I can advise that this cleaner can be used on wool carpet, however the most critical factor is using a cleaning solution that is WoolSafe approved. Vax provides these and you'll see their fluid mentioned as safe for wool/mix rugs.
