Excellent product - gave my sofas and rugs a new leas on life, and avoided me having to buy new products to replace them! Takes a while to get used to, but works really well.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY
I couldnt give 0 stars but i would if i could. These machines are not built to last. At 2 years old, conveniently just after the guarantee runs out they stop working and cant be fixed so every 2 years you're meant to buy a new one! Total con in my opinion, you're better off with a stain remover bottle and a cloth.

More powerful than I thought!
I brought this with a specific job in mind and it worked really well. The suction and versatility are good even the capacity is was more than I thought. Ergonomically it works. I used it on my carpet and material cloth armchair and it cleaned them a treat. The attachments were all used. I would have liked an extra one. A long handle for doing the carpet to save bending. But hey it worked without.

The Vax was on offer at £100.. so I Purchased Vax number 1 on the 11 Jan 2026 used on a small rug on Tuesday the 13th it leaked.. returned to store and purchased vax number 2 on Friday the 16th used Sunday the 13th this one also leaked.. so returned to store and purchased a Bissell for £130 this machine is more powerful and NO leaks

The model number for the Vax SpotWash Home and Car Spot Cleaner is CDSW-MPDC. Looking into the item there is no rotary tool that can be fitted.

I can advise that this cleaner can be used on wool carpet, however the most critical factor is using a cleaning solution that is WoolSafe approved. Vax provides these and you'll see their fluid mentioned as safe for wool/mix rugs.
