Good crisp image

Quality video images very clear and you can zoom in. It supports night vision which is good as its very dark here. Its 2 way audio is also good and you can set up different detection motions. Works with Google and Alexa. you get a 4K security camera that costs less with the solar panel than many other camera brands. It simple to install just make sure it high enough to get a good view, the app is good too and simple to use only takes aound 15 minutes to set it all up.

Easy to set really intuitive picture fabulous

The camera feels and looks good quality it’s well made and not flimsy. It’s so easy to set up you can either mount with the solar panel on top or the panel can be quite a distance as it’s got an extension lead. The app is very intuitive and the service from Tapo can record and save to the cloud or you can put a mini SD card which is what I’ve done really good instruction to follow on the app. You can make the light bright at night and alarm too its very loud. The video quality is great you can zoom in and see detail clearly. I feel confident that we have extra protection and the quality of the video will give enough detail to identify or assist the police if needed

Brilliant Security Camera

Having never used a security camera before, I was unsure how easy it would be to set it up. After charging, I connected to my WiFi and downloaded an app and found that the camera was immediately ready to use. I checked the best position to to fit the camera for a good view of the back of my property and it was ready to use. Best features- So far I haven't used the solar power option but have found the battery life to be really long lasting. The picture quality is amazing, even in the dark nighttime. The pan and tilt is useful and so is the ability to zoom in. The recognition feature hasn't been tried yet. The WiFi range is very good, there are other options but this one works for my needs. The ease of use of the app is outstanding, I am able to control the camera when not at home. The ability to take a snapshot or video and download to the app is a bonus, I haven't needed to subscribe to the storage option or used a SIM card. I highly recommend and am really happy to have this extra security for my home.

Brilliant camera

The Tapo C660, so I’ve tested the security camera and it is amazing. It’s very quick and easy to set up it and easy to install, it can be installed indoors as you can connect it to the mains or it can be installed outside via it’s pretty impressive solar panal. It comes with pilot holes so you can drill into the walls where ever you would like it positioned so no messing around. Also whilst setting it up in the app which you have to download goes through step by step instructions as well. Once set up it was pretty remarkable of what it can do. The camera has a 360 degree tilt so when someone is near your house it follows the person around untill there out of the 7metre sensor. Not only is the camera good during the day it is crystal clear during the night as well. It also has a night light that comes on and also has an alarm that goes off. Not only that through the app you can speak to people through it’s unique microphone if your not home. I would 100% recommend it’s such an amazing security camera.

Tapo C660 Kit- Great camera, but the solar panel

The Tapo C660 is a solid camera overall. The video and sound quality are excellent, and the 4K clarity really makes a difference, you can clearly see details even at a distance. The pan and tilt features work well, and it feels reliable as a security option. There’s also an SD card slot for local storage, which is great in theory, but in practice it’s quite tricky to access and picky about which cards it accepts. The cloud storage option works smoothly and integrates nicely with the app, but it’s on the expensive side if you want continuous recording. Where this camera really falls short is the solar panel. It’s fine in strong sunlight, but during winter or cloudy days it hardly charges at all. In my opinion, it’s misleading to call it truly solar-powered, it really only works as intended when the sun is out in full force, which in the UK isn’t most of the year. Overall, I’d say it’s a great camera with strong performance, but if you’re buying it mainly for the solar charging, be prepared to charge the battery manually in the colder months.

Amazing piece of kit

It's amazing watching the camera following me in the garden: tilting up and down-it also catches my dog running around! At night the spotlights and alarm are an excellent feature, making us feel very safe in the knowledge that intruders are detected and we are alerted if anyone is entering our garden. Even though it's winter, because it's placed in an area of full sun it's always charged. Another thing I love is the audio ability it has as I can talk to anyone in the garden and hear them too, all from my phone. It was easy for my partner to mount on the house as everything is included.

Tapo C660 Solar Powered Security Camera is a sturdy piece of Equipment that looks and feels quite powerful, A little bit fiddly to install and is a bit bigger than it looks, its actually an excellent deterrent. Fully Charges within 45 minutes with direct sun, this one is only partially charged due to lack of sun, still works though. This has 360 degree coverage with 2 way Audio, Audio is absolutely fantastic and can hear everything perfectly, Night Vision is clear....so clear we found we have a fox visiting at night lol. This can definitely withstand wind and rain. Plenty of settings to set it up exactly how you want it. Excellent Picture quality day or night. This has actually given me peace of mind and a good feeling of Security

Easy and effective

This was quite easy to set up and it was handy that we could place the solar panel away from the actual camera, as it meant we could charge it more effectively. When the solar panel is a sunny spot, it charges quickly and doesn’t deplete easily. My favourite feature is being able to adjust the tilt of the camera from the app, so you can have a better look at something when you aren’t at home. The accompanying app is easy to install and use as well. The only thing I would like is to have a preview when a notification pops up on my watch, as you just get a message rather than a picture, so you have to log in to see what it is. All in all I really like this and would definitely recommend it.
