i think that might be happening because your load is too heavy when wet so doesnt spin properly or the setting you used was a slower speed to spin out water more.

On many machines there is a no-spin option to stop the clothes getting wrinkled - especially on a cycle done remotely.
Did you try the eco cycle - it is slow, but saves energy and water.

This does have a spin cycle within the programs, however its effectiveness will be down to the load being balanced and it's speed selection.

If the load isn't balanced then the drum won't spin at its set speed causing the load to come out wetter than it should.
