Great quality outdoor camera
Good quality camera for my back garden. Its a good size and covers a large area. The app you need to install was easy to navigate. I don't know if I'll need the solar panel all year round as i barely get sunlight in my garden in winter but its easy enough to charge via USB C. Great pictures quality too.

Great Outdoor Camera
Clear footages, motion detected accurately except occasion's offline. Hope new firmware could help to improve this

Great camera
Only ever had one issue were the camera wasn’t working properly. However, resetting it and it’s been great ever since.

surprisingly solid outdoor camera setup
I wasn’t expecting much from a mid-priced outdoor camera, but this one genuinely surprised me. The solar panel alone makes it worth considering — no cables, no drilling through walls, no running extension leads across the garden. It just sits there quietly charging, and I haven’t had to touch it for weeks. The 360-degree pan and tilt is another big win. You can cover the whole area around the house with a single camera instead of having two or three fixed ones. The motion tracking actually works — it smoothly follows movement without being jerky or laggy. Image quality is sharp enough (2K is plenty), and the colour night vision is excellent for this price range. You can clearly see people, number plates, even pets wandering around in the dark without everything looking like a 90s CCTV feed. The app’s smart detection also deserves credit — it picks up people instead of just reacting to every leaf that moves. And I like having both cloud and SD card storage options; no forced subscriptions, which is rare these days. Build quality feels sturdy. The whole thing is IP65 weatherproof, and it’s handled a few proper British downpours without blinking. If I’m being picky, the only real downside is that you’ll need a decent Wi-Fi signal where it’s mounted, and the solar panel obviously works best with some direct sun. But for a wire-free, smart, weather-resistant setup, it’s hard to fault. The Tapo C610 Kit nails the balance between practicality and smart features. It’s not overengineered, it just works — reliable, easy to install, and no nonsense. If you want full coverage without messing around with power cables, this is the one to get.

Really good camera, with great resolution
Great camera! Holds its charge amazingly well. We have attached the solar panel also, although can be used without this and the charge has never dropped below 98%. The camera resolution is really good and picks up on movement/person detection and sends notifications to your phone. Night vision is great and also has a mic/speaker on the camera so you can hear and speak to people through it.

Brilliant kit
The Tapo C610 2K 3MP Solar-Powered Pan/Tilt Security Camera has genuinely impressed me from day one. It’s one of those rare bits of tech where everything just works, and it works well. Even with typical British weather throwing endless cloudy days at it, the battery has never dipped below 90 percent. The solar setup is way more efficient than I expected. Picture quality is brilliant. The 2K resolution keeps everything sharp, day or night, and the pan/tilt response is smooth and reliable. I really appreciate the built-in siren too. Having the option to trigger an alarm from the app gives you that extra peace of mind. The integrated light is a bonus as well — perfect for those late-night dog trips into the garden. It lights the space clearly without blasting the entire neighbourhood. Setup was simple, the app is clean and easy to use, and the whole kit feels like it was designed with real people in mind. I’ve had zero issues, zero dropouts, and nothing but a smooth experience. For me, it’s a solid 10 out of 10 across the board. If you want a dependable, feature-packed security camera that basically runs itself, this one is spot on.

Great little camera that is easy to install
This camera is very easy to install, requiring just 4 screws to mount it onto your surface, the solar panel slides in and locks in then the camera slides on to lock. Adding the camera to the app is seamless, it finds it no problem, the camera even has voice prompts to assist along the way. I installed the camera slightly under my window just for ease of access if I ever wanted to access it, I can reach out the window to remove it, saves me taking the ladder out. This may mean it is a little higher than recommended, but you can see in the images its more than adequate. The position of my camera is perfect for solar as its sees the entire sun rise and sun set. On first use it recommends you charge the battery off of USB first, I have done this and in the 3 or so weeks I have been using it, the battery hasn't dropped below 100% (not bad for Yorkshire winter sun light) The app is pretty basic, you can tilt and pan the camera (no zoom) to your desired position, its almost a full 360° (horizontal). From the app, you can view notification of any motion or people detected, turn the LEDs or download the recordings. The camera supports recording to an SD card (no included) or Tapos Subscription based cloud service. This is a bit rubbish for many of us that already have numerous cloud storage servers, or lan based network devices, that we can't use with the camera. There are also other features, that are hidden behind their subscription "paywall". The recordings that it takes, seem good quality, there is certainly some post processing in the images, especially regarding noise and sharpness but its still more than acceptable. It does say it is a "2K" camera but it uses resolution 2304x1296 which isn't actually 2K but is higher than 1080p, and a standard resolution found on most cameras. In regards to the recordings, it can only record motion snapshots, there is no option for constant recording. I get that this would be to save battery power as its meant to be solar powered, but still it would have been good to see this option as without it it means this camera has very limited uses. The camera can be setup to send notifications, when it detects motion or a person in its field of view. If you are relying on this feature to notify you, id say there are better options. Maybe 20% don't get detected, even with good lighting just not reliable. The recordings can be between 20 and 120 seconds long, and can include audio. Notifications can be sent to you devices when an event has taken place, you can also link it to Alexa or Google to view the camera, but this seems pointless as you can do it all from the Tapo app, and it offers you nothing more from connecting it to Alexa etc. For a solar powered camera, it is pretty good with his wide angle lens, PT control, and people monitor, but I do feel for quite a high priced premium camera, it lacks a lot of features that should be standard on modern "smart" cameras. If you can look past that though, its a handy little camera, easy to install, and helps to increase security at your home.
