This camera is well worth it, I have no issues. It charges quickly , uses very little battery life . U can see so much . It is better than I expected. It's obly been a week but I hope this continues. The app is a bit basic, it could offer more.

Excellent value for money
Easy to instal no wiring from external power source. Great picture sound quality once get used to setting up excellent tool for keeping eye on property and able to download onto phone. Only drawback was having to purchase separate memory card otherwise excellent value for price paid. Picture quality excellent for both night and day.

Just bought two more
Fitted one a few weeks ago and have just bought two more. Easy to install and control. Only picks up people which is good when you have wildlife about and local cats. Great value for money too!

Don't hesitate - just buy this camera!
Our second tapo solar powered camera as they are absolutely brilliant for the price. The images are crystal clear and the camera is very reliable. The great feature (apart from being solar powered) is that it tracks anything that comes into range - alternatively you can have it as a static camera. The set up is simple and the added feature of being able to block out unwanted areas (like the neighbours) is straightforward to set up.

A solar panel's efficiency is influenced by direct sunlight. The panel can still collect and convert light energy in the absence of direct sunlight, however, in low-light conditions, the output power will be affected, and it may not be able to provide sufficient power.

You can manage or view Tapo cameras on different phones/tablets in two ways:
Method 1: Via Device Sharing
1. In your Tapo app home page, long-press the camera card and tap Share, or go to Me > Device Sharing page, select the camera you want to share with others, then enter the invitee's TP-Link ID and tap Share.
2. Each camera can be shared with up to 5 TP-Link accounts.
3. Shared accounts can access Live View, Talk, Voice Call, Pan/Tilt Control, and SD card playback.
4. Shared accounts cannot change other settings or view cloud recordings.

Method 2: Via Same Account
1. The Tapo app supports simultaneous login on multiple mobile devices.
2. To get full access to camera settings, or to have the same rights as the owner account, log in with the same TP-Link account on different phones/tablets.

The Tapo app is free to download from Google Play and the Apple App Store. It supports Android devices (version 5.0 and above) and iOS devices (version 11.0 and above), including smartphones and tablets. Requirements may change over time—please check your app store for the latest info.
Tapo app is not compatible with operating systems like macOS or Windows.

With the Loop Recording feature enabled, the microSD card will automatically overwrite the oldest recorded videos when it becomes full.
To enable or disable Loop Recording, please go to the Tapo app > Camera's Device Settings > Storage & Recording > microSD card page.
