Outstanding Feature Rich Camera and Great Features
I’ve been using the Tapo Smart Dual Lens Baby Camera and I’m genuinely impressed with how well thought out and feature-rich it is. Setup was very quick and straightforward using the Tapo app, and I liked how smoothly it integrated — it even works with Alexa, which is a bonus. One of the standout features is the dual-lens system. The wide 2K lens gives a full-room view, ideal for active toddlers, while the dedicated close-up lens focuses clearly on the cot. The image quality is excellent both day and night, and the close-up lens is sharp enough to see facial expressions. The mounting options are excellent. You get attachments for a flat surface, cot mount, and wall or ceiling mount, plus multiple cable lengths. The cot mount is sturdy and flexible, and the fact that each mount has its own power cable means you can move the camera between rooms easily without re-routing wires. Thoughtful extras is a remote night-light dimmer. There are loads of useful features including cry detection, motion tracking, sleep analysis, lullabies, two-way talk, and a soft night light. Notifications are quick, and the app is easy to use, though there are many detection options that may feel slightly overwhelming at first. A dedicated monitor screen would be a nice addition, as you currently need to check everything through your phone. Overall, this is a premium, very versatile baby camera with excellent video quality, smart tracking, and well-designed accessories. It offers great peace of mind and is excellent value for anyone looking for a high-end baby monitoring solution.

Smart little device
This camera is very good it’s got so many features with it. The set up was very quick and straightforward. It’s Very good to have on your phone , but it would be benefit from a little monitor screen to , to have on display all the time otherwise you got to keep getting your phone out to check. It’s got 3 attachments , one for standing on a hard surface, one to attach to the cot or a wall mount . The picture is clear , it’s has a good area view to . It’s got lots of good features on it. Little night light and also it can play lullabies.

A camara packed with Accessories & Smart Features!
I’m a believer in keeping things simple, so my first impression of the size and weight of the box and numerous components was a bit overwhelming, but don't panic! The extra parts are incredibly useful rather than clutter. You get a choice of cable lengths, a sturdy cot mount (which I've attached to my headboard, overlooking the cot), and a wall mount, giving you total flexibility on where to put it. The inclusion of a remote night-light dimmer and accessible instructions (including Braille) shows real attention to detail. It's actually a very well-thought-out package. The dual-lens setup is brilliant: you get a sharp 2K wide lens that captures the whole room (great for keeping an eye on an active toddler) and a dedicated 1080p lens that zooms in on the cot. The close-up lens is clear enough to see facial expressions, which is great for keeping a close eye on newborns. The app puts a little blue box around the baby’s face and then labels it “baby”. This dynamic "baby" tracking box is a brilliant addition, ensuring you instantly spot your child without the usual moment of "where are they?" panic. While I'm still figuring out the numerous detection settings (crying, sleep, face covered, visitor, etc.), I feel many of these advanced features may be overkill, and their true reliability remains to be seen. This camera represents excellent value, clearly demonstrating why it commands a higher price point than cheaper alternatives. It's a premium option, more of a desirable upgrade than an essential purchase, but highly recommended if funds aren't a concern.

Reliable, Smart and Surprisingly Reassuring
I’ve been using the Tapo baby camera and I’m genuinely impressed with how well it performs. The setup was quick and straightforward, and the multiple mounting options made it easy to place the camera exactly where I needed it in different rooms. The dual lenses offer both a clear close-up and a wide view, and the night vision works brilliantly. The built-in night light with dimmer, nursery rhymes, cry detection, motion tracking and sleep analysis add extra reassurance and make it easy to see how settled the baby really is throughout the night. I also really like that the camera comes with two separate power cables, allowing me to move it between rooms without messing around with wires. The Tapo app is simple to use and sends fast notifications. Overall, it’s a very reliable, versatile camera that I’d confidently recommend.

Grat versatile product
What can I say we have used this for our nephew he has stayed a couple times and its great the night vision work's brilliantly, the sleep monitor is great to see how settled he actually is, and being able to use it in the day with the perimeter alarm is perfect to stop him at the stairs when we are not within eyesight. Amazing product 👌

Handy little camera with lots of features.
This camera is brilliant, in the box you have the wall/ceiling fixings, power cable and remote dimmer for the night light. Fixings for the cot which is like a big arm with its own intergrated power cable. It has sticky templates to stick on the wall so you know exactly where to drill, which is so handy and makes it a lot easier to put the fixings on the wall. It comes with a quick set up quide with a qr code for set up. I already had the tapo app so it was easy to add it onto the app and it can be controlled through my alexa devices too. The camera itself has dual lenses, so you have a close view and a zoomed out view of the room/cot, the picture is really clear wether it's day or night. The sound quality is good, and you can speak through it too. It has a night light wich comes with a dimmer on/off switch and also plays nursery rymes too. It also has cry detector that alerts you through the app if baby cries. What i like about this camera is the fact that it has two seperate power cables, one on the cot fixings and one for the wall/ceiling this allows me to move the camera between two rooms without have to mess with cables every time i want to move it. It just clips into each fixing and the cable pushes in the back of the unit. I use it in the bedroom on the cot when my granddaughter stays, i also use it in the kitchen whislt I'm out to keep an eye on the dogs. I would definitely recommended this camera.

Tapo baby Camera
The Tapo baby camara is so easy to set up, at first I thought it might take longer however it was quick and easy. It comes with 3 mounting stands. A over head view, a wall mount view and flat surface view which is brilliant really to suit different room set ups . I like the over head, as you can see clearly the whole sleeping area for that extra reassurance. The only negative for me is being app based only. The app itself is great, easy to use and navigate but I would like a monitor as we have used before with other cameras, however this is personal preference. The picture on the app is so clear. In the box comes a QuickStart guide on how to set up. The Tapo comes with many features like motion tracking, cry detection, cover face detection and sleep analysis. I really do love the sleep analysis report it gives. Also it is such a great camera to have as children get older and are playing in different rooms as it has motion detection. Overall and compared to other cameras we have used it has so many benefits and functions however only giving 4 stars due to no separate camera monitor. This however may suit others better having on an app.

Hello Si,
Tapo C840 2K 4MP Dual-Lens Smart Baby Camera - White.
I can advise that the camera does not have a temperature sensor. It does have a virtual safety zone feature that acts as a range warning.
