You can buy additional game cartridges, says so in the product description, not sure why Argos staff answered saying you cant.
Can buy Atari 2600 or 7800 games and plug them in loads on ebay

The console plays old Atari 2600 game cartridges. So its more like a proper games console rather than the built in games kins.

I can advise that this console bundle comes with the PAC-MAN: Double Feature 2-in-1 cartridge. No other games are included with this version.

I can advise that the ATARI 2600+ Console & Joystick Retro Bundle - PAC-MAN Edition features a cartridge slot is backwards compatible with hundreds of original Atari 2600 and 7800 games as well as the ones available at Argos. While I can confirm that a matching controller is available separately, they are not available on the Argos website at the time of posting this response.
