Crafted from BPA free plastic, the 2.4L jug is dishwasher safe apart from the Smart Light LED lid, so cleaning up is straightforward. One BRITA cartridge comes with the jug, lasting around a month, and works with all water types. Essential Sand Colour Water Jug by Brita
This jug would be great if the water filter button had not turned to red after just a fortnight, filling it once or twice a day. As the water filter is still filtering fine, despite going red, I shall continue until the taste of the water changes. But it's disappointing that one of the jug's crucial 'drawcards' is a filter button that is accurate. Without this glitch, I would give if five stars.

Such a difference!
Moved to a very hard water area, and with water that has a noticeable chemical taste so I invested in a filter jug. Very simple to use and replace the filters; the kettle has minimal scale inside (and no scum on the top of cups of tea) and, more importantly, the water tastes neautral and pleasant.
