Really great water filter

Really happy with this product. Water tastes a lot cleaner and love the colour on the lid. The light indicates when the filter needs changing which is also really helpful.

From Classic to Maxtra
I’ve had this two or three months now. I always get irritated when you’re asked to review a product as soon as you receive it. You can’t really tell until you’ve used an item for a while to see how it performs. I’ve been using Brita water filters property for about 40 years now! This is the third one I’ve had in that time, so that’s pretty good going. I replaced this time because my existing plastic jug was difficult to thoroughly clean. It used the original classic filters which I think I prefer. They lasted longer. One of my biggest complaints about this jug is how quickly the indicator light suggests the filter needs replacing. Given that I live alone and it’s only me drinking the water I do not see how it needs replacing in less than four weeks. The design is nice, slightly changed from the previous one but as long as the water is filtered properly, that’s all I’m really worried about. How do you know if it is!?!?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The BRITA Style Essential Water Filter jug-sand is just what I needed. I have hardened water around my area, and so the water by itself doesn't taste so nice. The water jug is the perfect design to be able to slot in the fridge door compartment. It's easy to put together and insert the filter into the jug. Once filled with water, the jug is still lightweight and easy to carry. It makes the water taste so nice and removes the chemically smell from the water that you get when you have it straight out of the tap and would encourage anyone to drink more water.

Best in the market

Major problem filter holder gets stuck in the jug
the inner part that holds the filter is stuck and I can't remove it from the jug. I might have to soak in vinegar when I replace the filter next. However I am not amused as this happened to me with my first purchase of the Brita Style jug and the plastic broke when I tried to remove this same part which holds the filter.
