Double oven!
Love it. Double oven is brilliant. Looks great and cooks great. 4 stars due to one of the rubber stops that stops the glass lid from touching the cooker top is off centre. Other than that its great. My old cooker was 34 years old, i loved it, but with only 2 hobs working, no ignition and no light it was time to upgrade. So glad i did.

Grill pan handle badly designed
We are generally happy with this cooker. The dual oven is very useful. It is easy to clean and we like the glass lid on the hob. The shelving in the top oven is a bit odd as the top shelf seems too close to the grill flames and the next one down can be a far... Also the grill pan which came with it has a badly designed handle as it is too narrow to safely hold the whole pan, and has plastic which is easily melted...

Don't pay for installation!
The oven itself is fine. The bottom oven runs cooler than expected, so increase the temperature by at least one gas mark. The grill is on the smaller size but overall a nice oven. However, we paid for installation and wish we hadn't. It wasn't installed properly, non-compliant in the words of the second gas/electrician we had to pay for to install it properly.

Nothing wrong with the cooker or delivery but not very happy with engineers.Paid for installment and take away old cooker but they didn’t do either and had trouble trying to get my money back.Eventually after a week I had it back

The supplier has advised the following for the Hotpoint HDG6GDCX 60cm Double Oven Gas Cooker - S/Steel:
"Electrical connection on this model is by a plug. The appliance can be hardwired, however does not need to be given it's output."
(Please note that any hardwiring would need to be done by a qualified engineer, but so would the gas installation. It needs to be done for you by a suitably qualified gas engineer).
