Braun 8663CC Clean & Charge Shaver

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted this shaver to suit me but it just did not work out the way I hoped. The build feels solid and it has a good finish but the weight is noticeable and after a few minutes my hand started to feel tired. The ergonomics were not great for me and I found the shape a little awkward to hold during a full shave. In terms of performance it is powerful and it should be an easy glide across the face but I kept having to go over the same areas and that ended up giving me irritation on my neck. I am not sure if it was my technique or just how it works with my skin. Maintenance is simple because the cleaning station takes care of most things and the shaver is easy to rinse. The cleaning cartridges and replacement parts do add to the cost though. Overall it looks premium and has good features but the comfort and ease of use were not right for me.

Really good, close shave.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well packaged product and a nice storage case, which you'd expect from Braun. Comes with a nice recharging cradle and a handy cleaning system which took me a couple of tries to use correctly. Instructions were clear, although to be honest it's very simple and intuitive. You either fix the foil in position or let it move around. I opt for the latter. I use it mainly to tidy and shape my beard and neck line. It's very precise, providing a nice, clean and neat shave. Its much better than the foil attachment on my braun trimmer set. I have no skin irritation or redness either.

Best shaver of this type.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For me this is the best shaver of this type I've used. Worked as expected and didn't drag any hairs out plus minimal shaving burn. The noise is minimal and again lower than other models. Love the cleaning system and works the same as other models of this series. Good battery life too. Can charge on its own or in the cleaning hub. Meaning you can take it with you if needed

Good Shaver with annoying limitations

I am comparing this to my 20+ year old Braun 8 Series which I had to replace as Braun no longer supply the foils. This new shaver gives as good a shave as my old shaver which is a very close shave for electric. I would recommend for this. Some annoying points. 1. It was supplied with a 2 pin European plug rather than a UK bathroom 2 pin plug. Useless. Now I have to use an adapter and charge and clean my shaver in a room other than the bathroom.Not ideal or convenient. 2. No protective cap to protect the very expensive foil. Come on Braun, some cost cutting is going too far. 3. The shaver cannot be used plugged in so you always have to rely on the rechargeable battery. This battery will eventually die and I guess the shaver then becomes more landfill. I don't expect to get 20+ years life from this shaver. Argos were excellent as usual.

Easy to use premium shaver

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Premium feeling shaver, nice tilt feature on the head which makes shaving easier than my previous electric shaver. Long battery life and the self cleaning station also charges which is very useful. Quite quiet. I would rate 5 stars but it doesn't include a UK adapter which is quite ridiculous for the price of the product.

Fab shaver

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a powerfully machine, built of quality durable material that's made to last! It comes in a beautiful, simple black zip case making it easy to transport and travel. It's not very noisy and has a very good battery life in comparison to machines I have used before. Its relatively easy to clean after use and has a precise finish.
