However, if you'd like to access advanced features like motion event recording and continuous live view, you'll need an optional Blink Subscription Plan. Without the subscription, you can still enjoy features like two-way audio, live view, and Alexa integration.

No, the Sync Module that comes in the standard Blink Video Doorbell (2nd Gen) + Sync Module bundle is the Sync Module Core, which does not have a USB or microSD card slot for local storage.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Blink 2nd Gen Battery Video Doorbell White + Sync Module: No, the Blink sync module does not act as a chime, It serves as a hub to connect your battery-powered Blink devices to your Wi-Fi network.
To receive chime sounds for your Blink video doorbell you can either connect to your existing in-home mechanical/digital doorbell chime system, pair with a compatible amazon echo device or use a Blink mini camera as a chime by configuring it in the Blink app.
