Disappointed

A lovely vacuum but really heavy and difficult to move about. It doesn’t seem to like my carpets either. Very disappointed .

The suction on this vacuum is amazing & the best part you don't have to alter the control from carpet to hard floor,I've had a shark vacuum before, this is by fare the best one I've had it's fantastic,I have now bought my daughter one which she loves.

We bought this a few months ago and I don't even feel dramatic saying this vacuum has saved our relationship! Genuinely used to spend hours battling the hairs out the carpet from our beautiful but shed happy dog. And even then the carpets would still look awful, however just running this round the house now is almost fun. It works very well and the anti wrap technology is fab because we all know we accidentally run over things we're not meant to but it stops the roller and the light goes red allowing you to fish out whatever got got. It's easy to empty (which you do have to do quite frequently due to the amount it gets up!). The only thing that isn't top marks is when you're trying to use it in the detachable mode as the pipe is so springy it makes it fall over/ hard to hold on to however as you can see from the 5 stars, isn't the end of the world. If you have a hairy dog who sheds a full version of himself every day then this is for you!

Easy to use

The suction and maneuverability are really good. It's very easy to clean stairs as you don't need to carry the vacuum up the stairs. Overall, I am very pleased with the buy. Only thing is that I would prefer the air freshner cartridge to be optional to fit and the 2 attachments are quite fiddly to fit on the vacuum cleaner.

Good vacuum

I bought this vacuum cleaner about a month ago and, overall, I’m very happy with the Hoover\. However, the power cable is far too stiff\. I find it difficult to manoeuvre while using the vacuum, and it’s especially frustrating when putting it away because the cable is so stiff that it’s very difficult to wrap around the cable holders

Easy to use and efficient

I bought this vacuum to replace a Dyson and couldn’t believe the difference in the amount of dust and dog hair the Shark picked up compared the Dyson. I had vacuumed the day before and yet the the Shark had a full container after just two rooms. I love the suction switch on the tube and the anti hair wrap. I have a big stairway and love how easy it is to disconnect the hand held section from the foot.

Sucton fine, but don't like design

I've been a fan of Shark vacuums for years to the point of buying both of my grown children models. I've had a NV600 (which I loved everything about) for many years but foolishly vacuumed up a throw, which stopped the brush from rotating (light still comes on). Instead of getting it fixed my husband thought we should get a new one, especially as we now have a hairy dog. I was excited to get it (so sad!) but from lifting it out of the box I was disappointed, firstly by its weight. On assembly I was frustrated that because of the design of the dust box the tools didn't sit straight on their ledge and have to be wedged in to keep them in, then when trying to wind the cable, besides the tools then being in the way and not being able to fit the upholstery tool it came with (used old one), found that the gab to wind it was so narrow and cable so stiff it knocked the tools off and the cable stays curled. Previous designs would be the top and bottom of the unit simple to use not colliding with the tools, who’s bright idea was that! Don't understand why it would be designed that way, but while using it it’s only a start and finish frustration. But then I used it, I'm not a fan of the rubber sliders or brushes, I don’t enjoy the resistance when pushing it. Further on trying to vacuum my hall runners and door mats it lifts the corners so doesn’t clean to the edge (carpet with rubber edge and yes on min), so have to struggle to use the new unclip to get the handle off. I used to just adjust the suction manually, but this one only allows full or min, WHY take that control away?? Honestly the only reason I didn’t send it back was that my husband had recycled the box, so I’ll just have to “suck” up all the frustration and get used to it or make him do the vacuuming (better idea)! To me my old one’s suction was still brilliant and much easier to use, it does the job, but I’m really quite sad it’s now more of an effort.

Great vac... but the old one was arguably better

Bought to replace an existing Shark vac that was great - but broke internally after several years use. This seemed like a good replacement until we realised that you could no longer attach the wand to the head - so it's not possible to go underneath furniture, low tables etc - plus it's not great for my wife to use as the additional weight of the dust collection unit/motor means its bad for her back. Such a shame as this seems like a retrograde step, and I can't see the benefit in not allowing this function? The auto floor sensing worked really well, and if we could have used it like the previous Shark we'd definitely have kept it. But we've returned it.
