Don't think my neighbours are in love with my new sound box , but I am absolutely delighted. Crisp clear top end and the most fantastic bass you could wish for. Really impressed with it .the Bluetooth works a treat. Overall a great purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Another great party speaker from Sony. Well packaged but you might need some help. It’s very heavy. At least it has built in wheels. Great sound quality even at high volume levels. Easy to set up and pair via Bluetooth. I used it at a wedding as guests were coming in and it got many compliments. The sound quality is surprisingly good. It’s not just all muscle, it is capable of delicacy and precision too. I didn’t test it with microphones but I wonder if used in a semi professional environment it might benefit from XLR inputs. Light effects are fine, if you like that kind of thing. Overall very good quality and excellent value for money.

Now that’s what I call a BOOM box

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What an incredible piece of kit. However, perhaps I might not be the intended market for this speaker because whilst it should be used for an all night rager of a party, I would prefer to use it for the surround sound or base speaker for the ultimate home cinema experience. However, you might convince me to use it for a karaoke party, but sadly no microphones as of yet. My Pro’s for the boombox: It’s a large piece of kit, it has a presence in room. It was easy to set up. It has a huge capability of being extremely loud. The simple display options on device are very easy to understand. There are different sound options for increased intensity using ULT settings Multiple types of connectivity to connect USB, Guitar, Fibre optic cable to attach to tv. Microphone holders, for the karaoke nights. And the Con’s: It’s a heavy machine, weighing in at 30KG. Although, this isn’t too bad as it has wheels if you want to move it around. This is a powered device, and no battery option. Also, accompanying this is a very short power cable, so it’s got to be near the plug. This is the same with the optic cable, it limits the distance of how far it can be away from the tv if you want to use it as a tv speaker. Overall, this speaker does what it says on the tin, it booms. If you want to be blown away, this certainly will do the job.

THE Ultimate Party Speaker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ULT Tower truly is the ultimate party speaker. Not only does it look the part with dominating stature and flashing lights but it sounds incredible. Powerful enough to work as an actual bass amp (!!) that lets you play along with bluetooth songs. The lights are fully customisable and respond to the sound. They also cleverly and subtly indicate volume level. The ult button provides 2 different bass sound modes so you can really tailor the sound to your preference - I’ve found this is great when you take the speaker from inside to outside. Too often the bass is lost without the room acoustics, this is not the case with the ULT tower! The speaker looks like a little wheely bin and runs on a power cable. This is not a negative at all as it’s become affectionately known as the party bin! The wheels make it easy to manoeuvre as it is rather heavy (but then it does have a giant X-balanced speaker, 2 mid range speakers and 4 tweeters built into it!) The tower works just as well as an all immersive tv speaker as it does for your music and karaoke needs. The intelligent “Sound Field Optimisation“ detects ambient noise and unwanted sound to finely tune the output to suit the environment. All in all, this speaker is the absolute best!

Sony ULT Tower 9AC - Awesome!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unboxing was a breeze — no clutter or confusion, just plug in power cable. Setup took barely a few minutes. Connect via Bluetooth, and you’re off. The Sony Sony Sound Connect app makes fine-tuning easy too, there’s a DJ mode which allows effects and a Graphic Equaliser to adjust to your liking. The bass is outstanding, it will blow you away! Seriously deep and punchy. If you’re a bass lover, the ULT button gives two settings depending on the level required. When paired up to a Tablet, you’ve got a Karaoke Machine, plug in a Mic or two, great fun and so easy! It’s perfect for parties! The multi coloured light effects are very cool and sync to the music! Can’t wait to try it at my next gathering. Overall, it’s got premium sound and build quality with an easy setup. Not just a speaker — it’s a complete entertainment machine in one neat unit. Would highly recommend!

Huge Unit, Huge Sound

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros: The sound from this is incredible. Huge amount of bass, very clear mid-tones and crisp treble. I didn't expect the sound quality it produces, I was expecting a bass biased sound only. When you press the ULT button...prepare yourself. The build quality is superb (it has to be, due to the weight). It seems as if it will survive almost anything. Also, having the wheels is a perfect design. They are placed perfectly so there is no interference once the speaker is in place. The lighting is great, hits the beats much better than other models. Lights up the room/patio brilliantly. Enough controls on the unit itself and many more on the app (equaliser, extended lighting controls and more) Cons: The weight - If you need to move it up/down stairs a lot (apx. 28kg). A longer power cable would be better to use it outside (unless you have outside power). Your neighbours won't like you anymore :)

This time with the ULT Power Sound Series ULT Tower 9AC Party Speaker. Which is innovative and truly transportable. Weighing in at 72.75 pounds as boxed and roughly and around 62.87 pounds unboxed, that’s on my scales, this is more than just a speaker read on. Firstly, as always, the packaging is all environmentally friendly and recyclable. So, lets take a look at this product. Turn this on hook it up to your music on Bluetooth, shut your eyes and put yourself in the front row, or mosh pit even, of a concert. You are there. This is built for music lovers of all genres with a 360 ° genuine surround sound so stick it in the middle of everyone at your party or BBQ. Turn not up and your heart will pound in your chest to the dynamic sound with an enormous base and clarity, In my opinion this is the best, and loudest, portable speaker I have come across to date save for a concert AMP. Every aspect of what a speaker delivers and has been so well thought out and designed. Couple this up with the ULT power sound series Wireless Microphone, the ULTMIC1(which come as a pair), and you have THE Karaoke party right there and now, the speaker also boasts two holders for the microphones that’s if you can get them from whoever has them in the first place. I tested this speakers with two professional musical artists friends of mine. One being a female vocalist and the other a guitarist of 50+ years experience. I bench tested the vocals first with a dance song, then a jazz number and finished on a ballad with this set up. I thought it was amazing and she said and I quote, “There’s nothing wrong with this whatsoever, any artist needing a portable speaker to perform would want this as part of their ready to go kit.” Next was the turn of lead, rhythm and bass guitars. We put the speaker in his home studio, where he’s plugged in on bass and played. The sound was rich deep and without doubt provided the low end foundation and pulse of a song. Likewise his six string electric guitar(s), of which he tried several from his collection was sweet and melodic with no fuzz or feedback he just nodded and nodded clearly impressed. He’s currently in rehearsals for a series of upcoming concerts he wanted to borrow this straight away to share with his and mates and vocalists. At the moment they are running everything through laptop computer speakers where the sound is what it is as they say. This proved to be a game changer to him. In a nutshell they both loved it. The speakers themselves are as Sony say X-Balanced and boast an almost square diaphragm while in addition there is a ULT duct extension, a baffle design that spreads the sound evenly. In addition to boasting a ten band equaliser the speaker can also detect ambient noise where the inbuilt sound settings can be automatically tuned to deliver a clear sound even in noisy or outdoor environments. The speaker is transportable and has casters fitted to the rear of the speaker with comfortable handles built into the outer casing to pull it along safely and easily. The main control panel to the top of the speaker is splash proof just in case it comes on to rain or that spillage at the party. The unit is compatible with other Sony speakers and can be easily linked wirelessly. The speaker lights up 360° with varying colours to your choice which can be disabled if you so wish. When used with your TV the speaker has a unique function ‘TV Sound Booster’ This lets you enjoy enhanced audio-visual sound, watching everything from live performance videos to movies. Your TV on its own sends the sound to you from the TV directly in from of you. The speaker placed either side of the TV will direct the sound to bounce off the walls either side of the listener giving you a deep bass and very realistic high-frequency sound. The audio takes you right into the movie. Included is an optical cable for using the speaker with a TV. Control it all with The Sony Sound Connect App on your mobile or tablet. You can pair the speaker with any 2 Bluetooth devices of your choice. Cleverly whichever device you start playback on the speaker will automatically switch to that device and back again should you start playback on the other device. Good clean bass

Recent purchase from Sony website, The sound is good including the clean bass. If you have the money it's worth getting 2 of these products so that you can use the stereo pair feature. I only have purchased 1 for now but looking to purchase another for the stereo sound (L/R)
