About this product
Starting your day with a clean mouth sets everything right. The Philips Sonicare Series 5300 Electric Toothbrush uses 62,000 bristle movements per minute to deliver a deep clean even in hard-to-reach areas, with sonic technology that drives fluid between teeth and along the gumline. It has two cleaning modes and two speed settings, plus a visual pressure sensor that alerts you when you are brushing too hard. The rechargeable battery provides 84 minutes of use based on twice daily brushing, and it comes with one W Optimal White brush head.
The sonic action creates dynamic fluid movement that reaches where bristles alone cannot, helping to break up and sweep away plaque. The W Optimal White brush head features densely-packed, diamond-shaped bristles with a central stain-removal pad for tackling surface stains. The pressure sensor protects your gums by alerting you when you apply too much force. The rechargeable battery means you can use it for several weeks between charges, and the included travel case keeps everything protected on the go.

Garbage
I threw the worthless piece of trash in the garbage. Nothing worked. Philips needs to investigated for false and deceptive advertising.
Wanted a Toothbrush, Hell
great toothbrush, why the usb charger?
Good cleaning and plaque removal, no complaints in the tooth cleaning department. My gripe is Philips voices to start supplying devices used in the bathroom that are charged via usb. There must be very few people with usb sockets in their bathrooms and in the UK no usb power supplies have two pin mains connectors, they are all supplied with the standard 3 pin plugs, I think this is a legal requirement. I now cannot charger either my shaver or this toothbrush in the bathroom on the transformer isolated charging socket, it has to be charged elsewhere. Phillips stay I must use the supplier charger rather than my old charging base.

Great toothbrush
This is the latest in a long line of Sonic toothbrushes I’ve used. Pleasantly surprised at how much quieter it is in use. It also brushes very well and feels comfortable in the hand. My only gripe is that the previous timers pulsed every 30 seconds to move to next section of the mouth. This one does it every 20 seconds which doesn’t equate with my normal brushing routine. Overall this is the best electric toothbrush that I have owned and the new travel case is a great improvement on the old one.

Seems to be working well
We've had 2-3 weeks. My husband thinks it cleans better than the Oral B ones we've had. I'll see what the hygienist thinks in April. The model number was different to that shown online, though the Argos number was the same so it didn't have all the features we expected. The smaller head provided has a small set of bristles at the front, which may be useful for cleaning behind the front teeth. My husband also prefers as he found the larger head a bit brutal. I have a bigger mouth and healthier teeth and I'm using the larger head. The sonic pulsations seemed weird at first but we soon got used to them. Longer battery life than Oral B. Expensive toothbrush and heads. If it means less work at the dentist, it'll be worth it. No problems with the ergonomics.

Philips Sonic Series 5300 Toothbrush
I have used several Phillips Sonic toothbrushes over the last 25 years, but I have to say that this new model, Series 5300 is the best by far. The sonic vibration is far better on this model than my last and its battery life is better.
