Wonderful set, easy to use

This is a lovely set comes with 2 cars which had a decent charge in when they arrived although didnt take long to charge, the app tells you the battery life of the cars and is very easy to use. My children loved using this for hours until the battery of the cars ran out. You can create many tracks from the pieces you get but other pieces and cars are available to purchase separately.

So much fun for all the family

This is a completely new and innovative way to play car racing! You feel like a driver using the app. Really easy to set up and download the app to play and you can control from your phone. I use an iPhone and found it really easy to do. My children enjoyed playing with it, and so did the adults! The track is wider than your average race track, which makes it more fun and easy to manoeuvre. You can even race online. The sound effects are great and it’s just a completely new level of fun for car lovers! Very techy too with lots of different modes to play in. You need quite a large space to play. It comes beautifully boxed and presented really well. We had so much fun!

Very exciting racing experience for all ages

This Carrera devils driver racing set is just so much fun, we set up the 6m track very quickly without any issues, there is many track options/styles to choose from which my kids loved too, we charged up both cars with the 2 included usb-c leads and downloaded the app (apple or android both work) with any problems with either the setup or connection then we were ready to race!! There are alot of options in controlling the cars with speed, grip, braking, sounds and assists to help you get started they also can return to the track if you get abit carried away , because its app controlled via a smart phone or tablet it makes it very easy to get the hang of the controls and we were up and racing each other in no time, we had between 20-30 minutes racing depending on the style of racing we were doing and these little cars are actually very nippy!! The more you race the easier it gets and you can unlock different driver levels too , this is a great set for any racing enthusiasts with many hours of fun to be had chasing each other round, trying to overtake and finish first 😀 highly recommended product and very impressed with its ease of setup and also its very easy to pack and keep tidy, keep up the good work Carrera !!!

Was all excited, and that quickly went.

I was really looking forward to playing this. As soon as it arrived i was eager to set it up. Quickly put the cars on charge and started to open the track. Quick read over the small instructions, went to download the app and it is not available on android store. Changed over and tried IOS app, it came up not available in the country. I started checking online and you would need to download a APK from a untrusted source to the download a version of the carrera app and i am not doing that. Thete is a box in the middle of packaging that is empty, there could have been simple controllers in there to use but instead it's empty. The cars and track look really good, just unfortunate that i couldn't get the app without putting my devices at risk.

Smart track for any race car enthusiast

This set is beautifully packaged to a high quality standard. It comes with 2 cars and 15 pieces of track that can be set up in various different layouts. I believe additional track and cars can be purchased separately so great add ons to collect and more cars mean more players. The cars have great detail and even have a “garage” mode where you can look at tyre wear etc though we haven’t investigated this too much yet. The track itself feels robust but the connectors are just plastic which is a little worrying. We would have preferred magnets for higher quality and ease of use. You use your phone to control everything through the Carrera app and it is your remote control for the car itself. We found it easy to set up and navigate with good tutorials to follow within the app. The track m, even on its smallest setting, is still quite large so space is a must! For beginners like us it was fun and easy to control whilst racing. The cars do go themselves off the track too so my son enjoyed “off-roading” whilst the cats chased the car which was highly amusing! I’m sure we will learn more as we go and enjoy family races once we can get some more cars.

Good fun but costly

This isn't like any car racing track we've ever seen. It needs quite a big area when all connected & laid out as each sheet is flat & wide. I advise downloading the app first before you set up as this helps with the setting up. I wasn't sure if this was going to be very good but my 8yo absolutely loves it. The cars are controlled via a phone or tablet and not the usual handheld remote controllers. In the box you receive track sheets, 2 x Porsche Race Cars with charging cables but you will require a USB plug adapter or charging point as it doesn't come with a plug. This brand & style of car track is quite expensive and I'm not sure it's worth the prices I have seen charged online. Great fun but expensive for what it is.

Large more modern track

The set up of the tracks was really wasy with different options of track to make. You download an app on your phone to control. The app was easy yo set up you need to use an email address. You can use the cars using 2 options either set to keep on the track using guided sensors with keeps it from going off the track as there are no barriers or you can freehand control it where it goes anywhere off the track. The speed of the cars are good and you have little lights on the cars. It is quite easy to use so once set up children can happily play without supervision. The track is quite big so need some good space.

The battery life of 30 minutes is solid, you get 2 cars in the box. For slot car fans and tech enthusiasts who fancy something new, the Carrera Hybrid is definitely worth a go. This is an App control and fast Bluetooth connection only. Solid battery life of 30 minutes before it needs charging takes about 25/30 mins to charge. The set up of the app takes some time to get use too in my opinion. But setting up the track is very easy and can be set up in many different ways. It definitely takes some getting use too.
