Did not meet expectations.
Bought during a heat wave of Temp of 34°. I had high hopes and for the price I anticipated the fan to actually blow cold air. The fan did not meet expectations, a much cheaper floor fan purchased from a supermarket was far better. I could have probably blown cooler air myself. Given 2 stars because it did blast out hot air, but obviously, I didnt need it. Fan was returned for a refund. Save yourself some money and buy something else.

For the price it is a bit of a joke.
Very disappointed considering how much it cost. £400. In the recent heatwave it performed worse than a cheap fan from Temu. Tried it for a few days and then decided to take it back to Argos where I bought it from and was told that I had taken it out of the box and plugged it in so no chance of a refund. So how are you supposed to judge how good it is if you don’t switch it on? My advice to anyone buying one of these is that the hype doesn’t match reality.

Different to blade fans, in a great way
I bought the Dyson Hot+Cool HF1 just before the heatwave, and the cooling mode has been fantastic. It pushes out a strong, smooth airflow that cools the room quickly without the loud fan noise you get from cheaper models. The remote is super handy, and the oscillation gives great coverage. I haven’t needed the heating function yet, but based on the cooling performance, I’m confident it’ll be just as good. Really happy with it so far.

Not much better than a regular fan, but this is much more expensive. It’s also more expensive than their previous model. My advise, if you want a Dyson fan, is to buy their cheaper older model. It has exactly the same features.

Love my new fan!
Love this purchase! The remote control and use of the app to manage the Dyson fan is a gem; I can control it from anywhere in the room. It provides a good flow of cold air ranging from 1-10 on the strength-of-the fan level. It also informs you of the quality of the air. Yet to test it for the heat, but I’m sure it’ll work wonders then

This is able to control the temperature, however the cool setting is just a faster wind speed to feel cooler. There is no Air Con capabilities.
