[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pretty good epilator overall. It removes hair effectively and leaves the skin smooth, but it is quite painful, especially at the beginning. The built-in light is helpful, and the device is easy to hold, but the noise and the fact that it’s corded can be a bit annoying. Still, for the price it does the job well.

Fabulous Epilator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Phillips series 4000 Epilator is a fantastic product to remove hair from under your arms and legs. It has 3 different settings to use to make removing hair comfortable. This epilator removes even the shortest of hair in no time at all. I have throughly enjoyed using this product. And this is my go to product to remove hair on a monthly basis. No more having to shave weekly has this product is epic. I highly recommend this product to anyone.

Fabulous hair removal system

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Philips Epilator series 4000, is a fabulous hair removal system/shaver. A very neat and compact shaver, fitting perfectly into my hand with stability and grip. I love how its corded so an even motion with no draining batteries. The inter-changing heads are perfect for different areas of the body and very easily removed and replaced and very easily cleaned. The shaver with foil leaves a very close but silky soft feeling on my skin. The epilator does take a little getting used to, but with perseverance has that long lasting effect we females require. The comb head does a good job on the longer and coarse hairs with ease. Great it has a light its that added bonus. My only gripe would be the flimsy pouch for keeping all attachments in doesn't do it any justice. A perfect female hair removal system with everything a girl needs for that very quick yet easy removal of unwanted hairs in any area. Very highly recommended.

Effective hair removal but I found it painful

I used this on my legs in replacement of shaving. I find shaving gives minimal smoothness as regrowth is fast. With the epilator, I found regrowth to be significantly slower - effectively like waxing regrowth. I found regrowth didn’t cause any ingrown hairs or irritation, which I have encountered with waxing in the past. The process is fairly quick and I could complete one leg within a couple of minutes. The unit is light and easy to hold, which makes it great for taking with you on any travels. The different attachments, such as the massage head, are useful with providing a variety of functions. The epilator, whilst offering slower regrowth, does not offer a pain free experience. I took one star off my rating as I have a low pain threshold and find it painful to use - it feels similar to an eyebrow threading experience - and for me I found that pain did not improve over time. I received the product as part of a product test and Philips has no influence on my review.

Love it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love it. It’s easy to use and hair grows back slower. It is less painful than my previous epilator which is very important to me. My previous one was rough on bikini area and sometimes made it bleed, but I don’t get it with this one. Definitely recommend!

Good product, would recommend as a first time user

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Once you get past the initial pain of epilators, it's a reasonably good product. I found it left behind some hairs but they're easy to find with the torch on the epilator. Although I find it doesn't give a 100% smooth finish, it has definitely reduced the amount of hair growth I experience & the frequency with which I need to shave.

Quick and easy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's so simple to use, quick and easy. I havnt used an epiltor before and thought it would really hurt but it didn't there were a couple of bits that were more sensitive but after a couple of uses you get used to it. I used to shave and would forever be cutting myself no more and also I have noticed the speed at which my hair grows back meaning I dont have to do it every few days but once a week is plenty to keep ontop of unwanted hair especially as I have PCSO my hair grows back quickly. I love the fact there are 2 speed settings and the built in light which makes it easy to see the hairs. I also love the fact that you can change the head making it a shaver as well as a epilator, you get everything you need in the box.
